Meet outside Rykas Cafe Old London Rd, Dorking RH5 6BY at 10:30am.

Box Hill midweek hike. Stunning views. Fresh air. A great workout. And home made cakes at the bottom and at the top of the hill bakeries.

We usually start our midweek hikes with a cup of coffee and home baked cakes from Rykas. :-)

The parking is free but please double check on the day what time they close.
We will aim to finish our walk by 3:30pm.
With larger groups could take longer time.

Usually this hike is in 2 loops. First short loop about an hour total time. Includes 275 stairs uphill climb. Currently the 275 stairs are closed for maintenance so we will do alternative climbs for the first loop.

The second loop is about 2 to 3 hours. Includes 170 stairs climb and a couple of non stairs uphil climbs.

Depending on the weather we might do the stepping stones river crossing as well.

You can leave after the first loop if you only want a short hike.

There are 2 cafes one at the bottom of the hill and another on the top. You can also bring your own picnic.

Total hike distance is about 13km (~8miles)
but you have an option to do less.
