SHL Movie Club: Heretic
Details
Come see the film Heretic with your humanist friends! We are going to the 3:55 showing at Citadel Mall Stadium 16 Theater.
Here is the compelling first paragraph from [Brian Tallerico's review on RogerEbert.com](https://www.rogerebert.com/reviews/heretic-hugh-grant-film-review):
What's scarier than believing in a higher power that controls our every move? Not believing in a higher power at all. This dichotomy of human existence is channeled through Scott Beck and Bryan Woods's thoroughly entertaining "Heretic," a thriller about the terrifying nature of belief. There have been hundreds of horror flicks about religious zealots using violence to get their way, but this clever flick is more of a mind game, a study in not just what stories we're told but who has been telling them to us.
You can use the link below to purchase tickets. Tickets are assigned seating, and Tucker and Charles have purchased seats E7 and E8. Sit wherever you like, but we encourage you to check the comments below to see which seats your SHL friends have purchased, and buy seats next to them, in front of them, behind them, near them… then post your seat choice in the comments below.
After the movie those who wish will be going to Taste of Thai in West Ashley, located at 874 Orleans Rd near the theater, for drinks, food and to discuss the film. If you don't want to attend the showing, feel free to join us to discuss the film afterwards. We should get there around 5:45 depending on the number of commercials and previews. If you want to reach out to me (Tucker) ahead of time, I'd be happy to text you when we leave the theater.
