SHL has a monthly volunteer shift at 1 pm on the 2nd Tuesday of the month to work at the Lowcountry Food Bank, located at 2864 Azalea Dr in Charleston. Volunteers work in the warehouse, helping to inspect food donations, sort fresh produce, and pack food, ensuring that it is ready to be distributed throughout the community. Upon arrival, please check in at the front desk.

The Volunteer Center is not climate-controlled, so please wear comfortable clothes suitable for the weather. Also, you must be above the age of 12 and wear closed-toe shoes. Anyone who arrives in sandals, flip flops, or any other style of open-toes shoes will not be allowed to participate due to safety concerns.
