Columbus Museum of Art, Free Admission Sundays

Let’s meet and wander the galleries! General admission on Sundays is free. We'll be meeting in the sculpture garden area at the meeting time, which is just outside the cafe area by the main entry. When you approach the front desk/main entry area there will be some seating just outside the cafe area. If you can meet us there by 11:15 we'll head into the gallery area as a group, but if you arrive after that time feel free to message us through the meetup app, and we'll do our best to connect you with the group!

Join us for our August gathering of The Pause Collective as we explore what happens when burnout, life's responsibilities, and the changes of perimenopause or menopause leave us feeling disconnected from the things that once brought us joy. For many neurodivergent women, special interests are more than hobbies—they're a source of creativity, comfort, curiosity, and self-expression. Yet during seasons of stress, caregiving, work, or burnout, they can quietly fade into the background. This month, we'll gently explore what has lit us up in the past, what we're curious about now, and how we might reconnect with the parts of ourselves that have been waiting patiently for our attention. This will be a relaxed, low-pressure meetup focused on connection and conversation. No need to prepare anything. No pressure to share. Come as you are. **Together we'll:** • Introduce ourselves and welcome new members. • Reflect on the interests and activities that once brought us joy. • Talk about how burnout, neurodivergence, and midlife have affected our energy and creativity. • Share ideas for rediscovering old passions or exploring new ones. • Encourage one another to take one small step toward something that sparks curiosity. • Continue building meaningful friendships and a supportive community. This is a group for like minded people interested in understanding, leveraging, using, creating for, profiting from, trading too i suppose, NFT's.. everything around them, complexity, fear and exploits, best practices and more. **PLUS** This group will talk AI ART tools, techniques, artists, video, audio, prototypes and more in the AI assisted production space- ART specifically, but we can get into any aspect of some of the cooler things happening in AI in general.

Trans Figure Drawing

[Sign up here!](https://www.eventbrite.com/e/trans-figure-drawing-workshop-18-tickets-1997514174668?aff=oddtdtcreator) Join us for Trans Figure Drawing, a live figure-drawing session featuring trans models provided by the Westerville Queer Collective (WQC) and the Ohio Feminist Art Museum (OFAM). We will begin with short, gestural poses and gradually move onto longer ones. Beginner level instruction will be provided by a local queer artist for those who would like it. This event is 18+, and all skill levels welcome. Figure drawing isn’t just a tradition for classical artists - it’s a rewarding way to connect with the human body. When going to a live figure drawing session, it’s not always disclosed what kind of model the artists will be working with. Given today’s political landscape, OFAM and WQC are creating space for artists to work with the trans body. This event is good for anyone who wishes to hone their skills, diversify their subject matter, or simply enjoy introspective, meditative sketching. Bring your own materials: easel and drawing pad, sketchbook and color pencils, watercolor set up, anything that doesn’t require excessive ventilation or other special accommodations. BYOB if you’re 21+ as well! We will cover model etiquette and there will be scheduled breaks throughout. Seating/tables and tabletop easels will also be provided. The Completely Series - (A.M.) Field Shoot - Franklin Park Conservatory

Franklin Park Conservatory opens at 10:00 am but we will plan to meet at 9:00 am to walk the grounds before going in (you will have to purchase your own ticket). These events on the schedule are to serve three purposes: 1. These will serve as field shoots targeted at The Completely Series homework. Generally, each of these shoots will focus on the homework assigned in the two prior weeks. So locations and topics will be picked to match those expectations. 2. Additionally, these events are to serve as placeholders for TIME OF DAY. They are intended to be modified as needed to capture SUNRISE and/or EARLY MORNING light. They will likely be modified to time out for the IDEAL light on that day, at that location. EXPECT THEM TO BE MODIFIED as the time of year changes and/or schedule conflicts occur. But THERE WILL BE at least one morning shoot per month. 3. Lastly, they are also to serve as semi-monthly morning shoots for the group as a whole. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE IN THE COMPLETELY SERIES to attend any of these morning field shoots. Locations and specifics will be updated as the event date approaches.
