If you have ever wanted to learn the fundamentals of drawing but were not sure where to start, this session is for you. We are getting together for Columbus Lines in Motion to practice the basics of sketching, focusing on how to translate what we see into lines and shapes on the page. This is a low-pressure environment meant for those of us who are just beginning our artistic journey and want to build a little confidence in a supportive, shared space.

We will spend the time working on some simple exercises, talking through basic techniques, and just getting comfortable with our sketchbooks. You do not need to bring anything fancy—just a pencil, a piece of paper, and a willingness to make a few marks. Whether you are looking to pick up a new hobby or just want to connect with others who are also learning the ropes, we would love to have you join us.

If this sounds like the kind of relaxed practice you are looking for, please go ahead and RSVP so we can get an idea of who is coming. We look forward to sketching with you.
