We meet and sketch each other in Berlin. This is just an art gym that we also exercise our social skills. Afterwards usually we go for lunch as a group. **How Does It Work?** This event is simple, we meet and sketch each other doing portraits. Most of the participants use pencils or watercolors. Main aim is to socialize while we draw. There will be plenty of time to talk and get to know each other. We have to mention that this event is suitable for all levels. Many have started to draw in our event actually. **Structure** A. Warmup Phase: We pose to each other for 1 minute. B. Main Phase: We pose to each other for 10 minutes. C. Showcase Phase: We show some of the drawings we did to each other. **Who We Are** Creative Sessions is an art events group located in Berlin. **Is it Free?** The event is free of charge. It is advisable to get a drink though. This is a cafe, we need to have at least half of the people on each table with a drink. They accept only cash and most hot drinks cost from 2.50 to 3.50. **How to help or donate?** The event is provided for free but many people help this be a regular thing. We also need people to volunteer and help for minor tasks like the serving of the drinks or cleaning up. Just send us a message. If you want to donate and keep this event from happening, via Paypal to the host (Miltos) : https://ko-fi.com/miltosthings/ **Art Materials?** Bring your own art materials. **Our Instagram Profile** Follow us on instagram @icreativesessions Use the hashtag #icreativesessions on your post description there to find out drawings from the event!

Let's Draw Pets / Urban Animals 🐾🎨

Let's Draw Pets / Urban Animals 🐾🎨

Sun, May 17, 11:00 AM
From Animal Drawing Berlin 🐾☕️

The meet up is on this Sunday(17/05) 1pm at W66 Cafe, at the museum of communication. (Near Potsdamer Platz station) Have you noticed in Berlin there are birds, squirrels, foxes, and even boars? (Well at least they are in my neighborhood) I like to watch dogs walking, squirrels climbing trees, crows fighting on the street. 😂 I also went on a trip a few weeks ago and took a photo of a funny swan. So this time, we draw not only our beloved pets, but also our neighbors who live around us 💃🕺 Please bring your photos (ideally taken by you ) and materials☺️. We will draw and share our stories behind of the drawing while sipping coffees, eating cakes and chit chatting. Please don't worry about if you're a beginner, this is not the professional drawing group for critiques at all. This group is dedicated to people who love and respect our fellow animal friends, and simply taking tones of pictures is just not enough. See you then!

Free Workshop Hacking Business Models in the Cultural Sector

Free Workshop Hacking Business Models in the Cultural Sector

Wed, May 27, 3:00 PM
From Berlin Art Lovers
4.7

Let’s be honest: the traditional cultural sector often forces us to choose between our creative integrity and our financial survival. The myth of the "starving artist" or the "solitary genius" is a trap that keeps cultural workers in a constant state of precarity. But what if we could design our projects differently? What if we could build cultural businesses based on solidarity, cooperation, and radical sustainability? Join us on May 27th for an interactive, hands-on workshop co-hosted by ODBK and Travelling U. We will explore how to dismantle extractivist practices and design alternative business models that actually serve the creators. **What you will learn in this session:** * Beyond the Canvas: How to view system design and business models as part of your artistic medium. * Alternative Frameworks: An introduction to cooperative structures and the solidarity economy. * Redefining Value: How to measure the success of your cultural project using metrics of care, rather than just capitalist extraction. * Real-World Pathways: Tangible examples of cultural workers who have successfully subverted the system to gain economic sovereignty. **Who is this for?** Artists, cultural managers, creative freelancers, and social entrepreneurs in Berlin who are tired of the traditional hustle culture and want to explore sustainable, collective ways to structure their work. **About the Facilitator:** Oihane Amurrio is an artist, educator, and cultural entrepreneur based in Berlin. She specialises in designing alternative pedagogical models in the cultural sector and is the lead designer of the *Cooperative Cultural Entrepreneurship (CCE)* program at Travelling U.
