Creative Writing Night at Llibreria Finestres

Get inspired to write at **Llibreria Finestres** - one of the coolest bookshops in Barcelona, with the cosiest café (where we are meeting). This is your space to **get inspired, write and share.** No specific theme - just **one hour of free writing** (19–20h), whether you’re working on a **novel, article, or a short piece.** The **last 30 minutes we share** what we’ve written — doubts, findings, work in progress. Our facilitator Esther is currently completing a Master’s in Creative Writing and writing her first novel. She’ll share her tips and insights along the way. Wednesday Write-In @Laie Bookstore

Need some inspiration and/or dedicated writing time for your current WIP? Grab your laptop or notebook and join us at Simply show up at Laie Bookstore (we'll be upstairs). Feel free to jump into working on your own writing project immediately, or wait until the quiet time starting at 5:30. at 5 pm for a bit of writer chat, before diving into an hour and a half of focused writing time. At 7, we head to a nearby bar to discuss how it all went.

¡Bienvenido a nuestro **taller disparador de relato corto** de los martes! No importa si tienes experiencia o si acabas de empezar. Todo lo que necesitas es algo para escribir y ganas de pasar un rato agradable compartiendo tu pasión por la escritura. El moderador planteará una consigna y dará entre 20 y 30 minutos con el objetivo de que estructures un relato (poema, reflexión, ensayo...). Después cada participante leerá su texto en voz alta y lo comentaremos entre todos. Una manera divertida de mantener en forma el «músculo» creativo y de encontrar tu propia voz literaria, mientras aprendemos unos de otros. Taquilla inversa. Se paga según la satisfacción.

Coffee Connections

A casual (but coordinated) coffee break to meet new friends, take a Zoom break, and get your AM caffeine fix. Stop by for a few minutes or stay the whole time. Bring a friend or wander in solo. Come for the coffee and company, or just bring a book to read while surrounded by other in-real-life, community-seeking humans. Come by every Friday, or just when you happen to be in town. Make it whatever you need it to be that week. It's not an \*event\* per se, but we hope these Friday meet-ups can become a fixture of the bookshop! Gathering spot will be in the downstairs area of the bookshop (near the Community Library). Coffee and tea are 1.50€ and can be purchased at the cash register upstairs. Journeying From Fear to Courage: A Guided Workshop with Jenn Baljko

Courage isn’t something we simply switch on. Between the fear we feel and the courageous actions we choose lies a rich, liminal space where reflection and insight help us find our next step. In this 90-minute guided journaling workshop, author and facilitator Jenn Baljko invites participants to explore that space through writing prompts, reflective exercises, and experiential practices. Drawing on ideas from her book *The In Between*, this interactive session offers a welcoming space to explore how stories of fear and courage shape the choices we make. No writing experience is needed, and a workbook will be provided. Bring your favorite pen, some curiosity, and a willingness to explore the curves of your own spiral path. About the host: **Jenn Baljko** is a catalyst for midlife women ready to take their brave next step. She helps women navigate periods of transition and move from uncertainty into clarity, confidence, and wonder-filled action. American novelist and screenwriter Luke Goebel will be visiting Barcelona to talk with us about his new novel KILL DICK. He will be in conversation with author Josh Denslow. Club de poesía: 'Río herido'

Con este club queremos ofrecer un espacio que recupere y reivindique la producción poética. Una vez al mes nos reuniremos para comentar y leer en voz alta los poemas del libro escogido para cada sesión. El tercer libro seleccionado es 'Río herido' de @cerquitadelasnubes, editado por @estonoesberlin. 🏞️ Acerca del libro: Con 'Río herido' (2016), el primer libro de Daniela Catrileo, la autora inauguró una voz marcada por la memoria, el territorio y la identidad. Posteriormente publicó 'Guerra florida' (2018), reconocido con el Premio Municipal de Literatura de Santiago, y la novela 'Piñen' (2019), distinguida por el Ministerio de las Culturas como Mejor Obra Literaria de su país.
