La Pedrera - Los Nabis - Exhibition Tour - Max 12 people!

La Pedrera - Los Nabis - Exhibition Tour - Max 12 people!

Thu, May 28, 3:30 PM
From Culturezilla Barcelona - Exhibition Tours

Please book your ticket on \*\*[LUMA*](https://luma.com/49266oco)\* Barcelona is hosting its first ever exhibition entirely dedicated to the **Nabis.** Imagine a group of young art students in 1880s Paris - part a fraternity, part an occult group with their own rituals and cause - who call themselves the Nabis. Gathered weekly in a studio they call **"the Temple,"** armed with a small painting no bigger than a cigar box, they reject the academic traditions of their day and chase something rawer: flat colours, bold patterns, the flicker of night streets, the poster on the corner of a Montmartre boulevard. They are painters, yes, but also printmakers, tapestry designers, theatre set designers, and poster artists, obsessed with pulling art out of the museum and into everyday life. **Gauguin** lights the spark, **Japanese influence** reshapes their eye and **the arrival of Photography** redefines the limits. What you are about to see in the La Pedrera exhibition is something rarely attempted: the Nabis are shown not artist by artist, but theme by theme, so you can feel both what unites them and what makes each one singular. It is a movement that lasted barely twenty years, but one that quietly unlocked the door to almost everything that came after. *Enjoy the only English tour of this exhibition, given by a seasoned art historian.* 💫Join this private tour (max 12 p.) to deep-dive into the works of the Nabis and have an understanding of the time period. 💫Leave the tour with inspiration and a deeper understanding of history of art, how the effects of Nabis still linger. \*The price includes the ticket and the tour. **[Tickets on LUMA](https://luma.com/49266oco) \- Please reserve your spot through the link** [https://luma.com/49266oco](https://luma.com/49266oco)
