Le Roi et l'Oiseau, film fantastique, Prévert & Grimault (1980)

Le Roi et l'Oiseau, film fantastique, Prévert & Grimault (1980)

Sun, May 31, 4:00 PM
From Midi Minuit, ciné club SF/fantastique/horreur

Meetup connects people through events and groups based on shared interests. Whether you're looking to discover a new hobby, meet new friends, or enhance your professional network, Meetup makes it easy to find and join like-minded communities.

Use Meetup to search for film-related events and groups in Paris. Simply enter your interests and location, and browse upcoming gatherings curated for film lovers right in the city.

Film nights typically feature screenings of international films followed by discussions. These events offer a chance to enjoy cinema and engage with fellow movie lovers, sharing insights and gaining new perspectives.

Many international films shown at these events are subtitled, allowing attendees to fully appreciate the dialogues regardless of language proficiency. It's best to check with the event organizer for specific details.

The frequency of film nights varies depending on the group organizing them. Some may have regular weekly or monthly events, while others could be sporadic based on member interest and availability.

Yes, you can join multiple film groups on Meetup. This allows you to explore a variety of film genres and cultures, expanding your cultural horizons and meeting diverse groups of people.

Joining Meetup and browsing events is generally free. However, some groups or events might require a fee to cover costs such as venue rental, materials, or special activities.

To RSVP for a film event, simply go to the event page on Meetup and click 'RSVP.' This notifies organizers of your participation and keeps you updated on any event changes.

While many groups focus on international cinema, not all meetups will feature foreign films. It's important to check each group's theme and past events to see if they align with your interests.

Yes, Meetup often allows members to communicate through group message boards or event pages. You can introduce yourself, ask questions, or arrange carpools, fostering connections even before an event.

While Meetup facilitates social connections, making lasting friendships also depends on personal engagement and participation. Being active and open during meetups increases the chance of forming meaningful bonds.

Event quality varies as they are independently organized by local hosts. It's always good to check reviews or ask existing members about their experience with particular groups.

Meetup focuses on group socializing rather than individual matchmaking. While it creates spaces to meet new people, personalized connections may occur more naturally within events.

Movie selections are usually made by the group organizers. They might choose based on themes, director retrospectives, or member suggestions, aiming to provide a diverse cinematic experience.

Availability of specific groups like foreign film nights varies by location and demand. In large cities like Paris, you're more likely to find multiple options compared to smaller towns.
