Get to the heart of the matter, dive straight into what really counts!” - Matthias 🗣 “F\*ck the Small Talk changes the narrative from "Where are you from?" to "When was the last time you laughed uncontrollably?" and I think that's beautiful.” - Monika 🗣 “I loved F\*ck the Small Talk, I was a little bit nervous at first but they are pros at making you feel comfortable with the rest of the group, the activities are really fun and I enjoyed every second (consider that the one who's saying this is very, very shy). Give it a try!” - Brenda 🗣 "It’s a wonderful experience, it’s like being a kid again, when you were at the park, playing with other kids, and just decided you were going to be best friends for the next hours. Maybe you’ll never see those kids again. Founders & Builders - Co-Working Session (Deep Work + Social)

Sun, Jul 19, 10:45 AM
From Where Stuff Gets Stuff Done Berlin
4.8

Hey everyone, I’m organising a structured co-working event for those who are tired of grinding at home alone. To ensure that we have both **socialising** + **working**, we'll be using the “Pomodoro” technique: **50min of deep work** (silent), followed by **10min of break** to socialise. Then repeat! If you get into flow, you're also welcome to skip the breaks. ——————————————————- AGENDA: * **15min Intros -** Get to know everyone, talk about what you will work on today * **Pomodoro Session** - *Each Pomodoro session consists* *of...* * ...**50min** of uninterrupted “deep work” (no talking, no interruptions, no phones) * ...**10min** of break: share your progress with others, talk about what you are stuck on etc. * Repeat x3 * **15min** Conclude and celebrate your progress Share your progress, socialise and meet new people. Or just get some work done :) ———— We'll be at Creon CoSpace this time. After the structured part ends, you're welcome to stay longer. See you there 🩵 Note that this is a private co-working space. So, try to be on time otherwise someone would have to come and get you from the main entrance. Once you reach the property, please send a message to one of the organisers and we'll escort you inside. Once inside the building, you can move freely. **\*\*please update your RSVP in advance if you can't attend!\*\*** **\*\*please message the organisers if you are going to be delayed!\*\***

Watercolor Day: A Beginner-Friendly Watercolor Workshop

Watercolor Day: A Beginner-Friendly Watercolor Workshop

Tue, Jul 28, 5:00 PM
From Berlin Art Workshops
4.4

This course covers the fundamentals of typography—presented in an accessible, practical way with plenty of room for drawing and experimentation. We view type not merely as text, but as form: What is the visual impact of a letter? Why does a typeface appear elegant, playful, bold, or understated? What makes type easy to read? And how can it become part of a drawing, a card, or a small design project? Together, we will explore the visual impact of type, letterforms, spacing, rhythm, composition, and the interplay between typography and illustration. Step by step, you will learn to observe letters more consciously, arrange words more harmoniously, and intentionally incorporate type into your own creative projects. The course takes place in a small group to ensure ample time for individual guidance, questions, and personal feedback. The focus is not on perfection or rigid rules, but on developing a keen eye, enjoying the creative process, and completing a small final project of your own. **Course content:** • Observing and understanding type more consciously • The differences between typography, lettering, calligraphy, and handwriting • Viewing letters as drawn forms • Fundamentals of letter anatomy • Spacing, rhythm, and white space • The visual impact of type and appropriate design choices • Small typographic compositions • Combining type and illustration • Developing a small personal project **About the instructor:** Antje Schubert is an illustrator, designer, and the founder of *süssmädchen.* For over a decade, she has been personalizing jewelry and accessories by hand, working daily with letters, words, and short messages. Through her professional work and personal drawing practice, she has developed a keen sense of the expressive power of type—conveyed through form, line, spacing, composition, and overall impact. Drawing is at the heart of her workshop: letters are not just observed but understood as forms, sketched, experimented with, and developed further through design. Who is this workshop for? This course is designed for anyone who enjoys drawing, designing, keeping a sketchbook, creating cards, or simply appreciates beautiful lettering—or for those who want to incorporate typography more intentionally into their creative work. It offers a practical, accessible approach with plenty of room to experiment. No prior experience is required! Everything is explained step-by-step. You don’t need to be an expert at drawing or have perfect handwriting; all that matters is curiosity, a passion for design, and a willingness to experiment. By the end, you will take home new foundational skills, practical exercises, greater confidence in working with lettering, and a small typographic piece of your own creation. **[Get your tickets (€29) here!](https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/typoworkshop/29)**
