Speak Italian After Work | Italify Social Club in CBD

Speak Italian After Work | Italify Social Club in CBD

Thu, May 14, 8:00 AM
From Italify Social Club Sydney

A relaxed after-work evening at Vini Divini in the CBD, centred around Italian conversation. We meet over a glass of wine and spend the evening speaking Italian in a natural, social setting. It is not a class, just a space to practise, improve, and enjoy the language in a more relaxed way. All levels are welcome. You do not need to be fluent, just open to trying and being part of the conversation. This is for anyone who enjoys Italy, the language, and meeting like-minded people in a small, easy setting after work. Each guest orders their own drinks at the bar. Small group. Relaxed setting. Good energy. If you are coming on your own, that is completely normal. Most people will be. Limited spots to keep it intimate.

We’re stoked to be collaborating with [Remarkable Disability Tech Accelerator](https://www.remarkable.org/) and [Atlassian](https://www.atlassian.com/) to celebrate [Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD)](https://accessibility.day/) this year. The purpose of GAAD is to “get everyone talking, thinking, and learning about digital access and inclusion, and the more than one billion people with disabilities/impairments”. GAAD is on 21 May, so we’re celebrating a couple of days early… and for SydDT regulars, yes we’re doing this on a Tuesday! Remarkable’s mission is to “empower disability tech innovators by providing the training, capital, and networks they need to create a future that is accessible, equitable and inclusive for all”. Accessibility is also core to Atlassian’s mission – to unleash the potential of every team. We’ll have short talks by people working directly on inclusive and accessible solutions, followed by a panel. Speakers will be announced soon 😃 **SPEAKERS** Speakers will be announced soon… **EVENT SPONSORS** This event is brought to you by [Atlassian](https://www.atlassian.com)**,** [Remarkable](https://www.remarkable.org/), and [Dynamic4](https://dynamic4.com/). We take photos and record our events for documentation and promo purposes. Just let us know if you prefer not to be featured.

Women in Projects Australia presents: Leading Beyond the Script

Women in Projects Australia presents: Leading Beyond the Script

Tue, May 19, 8:00 AM
From Women in Projects, Australia
4.8

Kick off 6pm for Nibbles and networking. Welcome at 6:30pm and then dive into our session. Our speaker, Aarti, is a senior technology and cybersecurity professional with over twenty years of experience across global teams, and the founder of Elevate with Aarti, a coaching practice for high-capacity professionals who are delivering at a high level but making decisions from an instruction set they never chose. Lead Beyond the Script Most high-performing professionals are not struggling because they lack skill or ambition. They are struggling because the internal instruction set they are operating from was written by the system rather than by themselves. This talk names that pattern, and what becomes possible when you examine it. Question Think about the last time you held back a perspective in a meeting. What were you calculating at that moment, and who taught you to calculate it? Thank you to our sponsors escient, PMI Sydney Chapter and The Commons.
