New location! Meeting at Berkeley College, 3 E. 43 St. in room 402. They were nice enough to print signs last time so hopefully it will be very easy to for anyone entering the building. We are one of few Toastmasters clubs in NYC offering in-person meetings and we encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity for in-person communication and networking. Interested in improving your public speaking skills? Want to meet new people and engage in interesting discussions? Hoping to make new business and life connections? If so we welcome you to attend the next Greenspeakers meeting. Greenspeakers is a Toastmasters club that was founded by Green Party members to provide a forum for engaged progressive activists and professionals to improve their public speaking skills. Guests of all political persuasions are welcome and we have no official connection to any political party. All attendees will have a chance to practice public speaking and will learn helpful tricks to become a more confident public speaker and communicator. Hope to see you there! Please note that our meetings require active listening and it's expected all in attendance will be respectful to each speaker by giving them your attention and refrain from making noise during speaking roles. Any who are disruptive or do not follow the behavioral guidelines of Toastmasters may be asked not to return.

Practice Dating: A Live Relationship Skills Workshop (NYC)

Practice Dating: A Live Relationship Skills Workshop (NYC)

Sat, May 16, 8:14 PM
From Matchmaking Mixer for straight singles, gay and lesbian
4.2

**-Concept for Practice dating is on meetup group page** **-Details for Practice Dating is on meetup event page ( see below )** **Practice Dating: A Live Relationship Skills Workshop (NYC)** Stop guessing in dating. Start practicing it—before it happens in real life. **What This Is** This is a **guided, in-person workshop** where you practice real dating scenarios in a structured, safe environment. Not speed dating. Not a social mixer. This is **hands-on relationship training.** **Why This Exists** Most people don’t struggle with dating because they’re “not good enough.” They struggle because they’ve never actually practiced: • how to show up on a first date • how attraction develops naturally • how to communicate when things feel real • how to move from surface-level to deeper connection This experience lets you **learn by doing—not guessing.** **What You’ll Do** You’ll move through real relationship stages: **1️⃣ First Date — Presence & First Impressions** Learn how connection actually starts **2️⃣ Second Date — Flow & Curiosity** Understand how attraction builds **3️⃣ Third Date — Depth & Emotional Honesty** Explore real conversation and vulnerability **4️⃣ Long-Term Dynamic — Communication & Stability** Experience what connection requires beyond dating Each stage includes **guided discussion + real interaction practice** with a partner. **How Pairing Works** • No rejection or “matching” pressure • No expectation of chemistry • All interactions are for practice • Inclusive of all genders and orientations • Same-sex pairings fully welcome This is about **skill, awareness, and real behavior—not outcomes.** **Read Before Join** • This is a **structured workshop**, not a casual hangout • Starts exactly at **16:14 PM** • There are group discussions, then going on dates in pair. • Verbal Instructions are given once at the beginning • Late arrivals will self-integrate • The experience continues regardless of attendance size **Event Details** Location: Near Madison Square, NYC (address and invitation sent after confirmation email from you) Date: May 16, 2026 Time: 16:14 PM **Who This Is For** You’ll benefit if you: • feel stuck or unsure in dating • want real-world practice instead of advice • are open to structured interaction • are willing to participate (not just observe) **To join attendancs list, send confirmation:** Name or alias Age Gender ***We need at least 6 -10 people on attendance list or it will be postponed to next month.*** Email: denimadoniasho@gmail.com Text: 419-487-3413 or Meetup inbox **What You May Walk Away With** • awareness of your dating patterns • improved communication in real situations • clarity on how you show up in connection • insight into attraction and emotional dynamics **Final Note** This is not about finding “the one.” It’s about understanding **how connection actually works—through experience** **Safety Disclaimer** All events take place in **public spaces** such as cafés, food courts, malls, and other well-trafficked locations to ensure a safe and comfortable experience for everyone. **The 5 Practice Dates** **•** Do You See Me - 1 • Open Mind x Heart - 2 • Accept Us Across All Parallel Universe - 3 • I Want It That Way (Trigger Happy) - 4 • Extreme Love and Desire - 5 **Date 1** – Be a mysterious, emotionally available human. Focus on presence, curiosity, and connection. Let people experience who you are beyond labels (yes, even your job title). Avoid status-driven questions like “What do you do?” or “Where do you live?” — relax, LinkedIn can wait. **Date 2** – Become LinkedIn in human form. Perform status. Interrogate value. Rank and categorize. What do your parents do? What do *you* do for work? Do you own or rent—or are you “figuring it out”? Assess them like an asset, a résumé, a potential merger. Are they a smart investment… or a liability? Play royalty seeking alliance—calculate, compare, judge. Be polished. Be strategic. Be just a little unbearable. **Warning:** Do *not* ask or reveal exact income—we are not filing taxes together (yet). You *may* talk about household financial responsibilities (how you manage expenses, split costs, or approach money in daily life). Notice how ridiculous this feels. **Date 3** – Plot twist: you’re both just humans. Be honest about your experience so far. Take off the entitlement mask (alpha/tough or beta/nice—yes, both are costumes). Show vulnerability, sincerity, and authenticity. Remember: you are equals—no thrones, no rankings. Talk about your deepest fears (fun!) regarding this connection, your future, or your goals. Reflect on your love patterns—your “type,” your habits, your emotional chaos. **Date 4** – Release your inner gremlin (lovingly). Express your shadow self fully—or just be completely yourself, unfiltered, while doing the light dating challenge. Say the thing. (Maybe not *every* thought… but close.) Create space to talk things through and actually resolve something like adults. Ask: • How have I frustrated you? • How have I annoyed you? Practice patience when navigating conflict (yes, even when you’re right… or think you are). **Date 5** – Final boss level. Experience separation… or oneness. Do you choose the path of love… or the path of fear? No pressure. Just your entire relational pattern on the line.
