Spreading the love of poetry, this session will involve creating a poem by; working on at least 2 poetry techniques, the use of prompts, refinement, and reading out loud. And you get to meet really nice people!!! x

Friday Night Speed Dating @ Box Piccadilly (Ages 23-35)

At this event you can expect to meet around 15-20 people in 4-5 minute dates with an interval half way through for refreshments. Speed Dating kicks off at 8pm prompt and any guests arriving late may not be able to take part so please ensure you arrive 15-30 minutes before the scheduled start time to allow for registration. When all the guests have arrived the host will explain how the evening will unfold and you will be provided with a scorecard, name badge and pen. When the event begins women will be seated and men will rotate between tables every 4 minutes. At the end of each date guests mark on their scorecard whether they would like to see that person again. There will be a 15 minute break half way through to allow for refreshments. Once the event finishes we invite you to join us for a drink at the bar - the perfect setting for further conversation and socialising. Before you leave the host will collect all the scorecards in and collate the matches on our website and the following day you will receive an e-mail with the results. Please be aware that speed dating places are limited and the majority of our events do sell out, so please book early to avoid disappointment. LDN Talks May Community Showcase

We are excited to announce our May Community Showcase. This event is an opportunity for individuals at all skill levels to come together and share their experiences with Rust. Whether you’re working on a personal project, contributing to an open-source initiative, or teaching a concept related to Rust, we invite you to present your work and insights. Take this opportunity to build your confidence and share what you are doing. Speakers === If you would like to give a presentation, please send Ernest a direct message with your talk title and a brief abstract of approximately 60 words. Each presentation will last about 25 minutes, followed by 5 minutes for questions and answers, for a total of 30 minutes. We have four slots available this month.

Amateur Drama Classes

Join me for a fun Drama class every Wednesday evening from 6:30 pm- 8:30pm at the Omnibus Theatre in Clapham Common. Acting helps with confidence and awareness. In a fun and relaxed atmosphere, you will meet new people and learn all about Acting. No experience is needed. We'll do relaxation exercises, games, improvisations, storytelling, and a bit later on we'll start working on character and text. The year ends with an exciting Showcase where friends and family come and see how all your hard work has paid off :) £10 pounds for the trial class to be paid before or after class. In this creative and technical stretching workshop you'll learn techniques to make your photos pop! Working to a brief you will be given tasks based on creative and technical aspects of photography. Through the exercises given this workshop is going to help you to expand your ideas of what is considered ‘normal’ shooting! You’ll be using new ways of seeing and shooting and also challenged to use your skills in a way you may previously not thought of.
