Happy Ending | The Curious Readers Club #Meetup2

Happy Ending | The Curious Readers Club #Meetup2

Sat, Sep 5, 12:00 AM
From The Curious Readers Club

For this month’s gathering, we’re switching things up from our last non-fiction read and diving into something a little lighter, warm, and easygoing—perfect for a cozy, feel-good break. We’ll be reading Happy Ending by Chloe Liese, a contemporary romance that blends humour, heart, and emotionally grounded characters navigating love, connection, and personal growth. It’s a breezy read that still gently explores deeper themes around relationships, vulnerability, and what it means to choose love in today’s world—without giving away too much, of course! 📖 In our discussion, we’ll chat about: * Our favourite moments and character dynamics (no spoilers!) * Modern dating culture—what’s changed, what hasn’t * The pros and cons of single life vs committed relationships * How we define love, independence, and emotional connection today Most importantly, it’s a space to unwind, share perspectives, and enjoy thoughtful conversation in a relaxed, welcoming setting. Come along for books, honest conversations, and a bit of laughter along the way 💛

PMI Sydney Toastmasters club is one of Toastmasters International clubs. Toastmasters International (TI) is a USA headquartered educational organisation that operates clubs worldwide for the purpose of helping members improve their communication, public speaking, and leadership skills. Through its thousands of member clubs, Toastmasters International offers a program of communication and leadership projects designed to help people learn the arts of speaking, listening, and thinking. This meetup group lists club meetings and events. We are a friendly, welcoming group who are interested in improving our public speaking and leadership skills. Whether your goal is to enhance your professional presentation skills, gain confidence in addressing an audience, we find that doing it in the company of like-minded people can be a lot of fun. Meetings include both impromptu and prepared speaking practice. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday each month, 5:45 PM for 6:00 PM start. Visiting the club for the first time is free of charge. Club officers are happy to support and provide detailed information should the visitor is interested to be the member of the club going forward. *** To better manage the attendees, all the visitors have to RSVP the event directly on Meetup before each meeting, so that we can arrange your attendance in face-to-face meetings or invite you to join the meetings via Zoom in the PMs and emails while complying with the Covid-19 related policies.

Then stay on for ABBA's Back LIVE, enjoy your FREE welcome drink and continue the evening with the new friends you've just met. 🎟 Book online and save:[ https://sydney12thsept.eventbrite.co.uk](https://sydney12thsept.eventbrite.co.uk) Early Bird – A$5 per person Regular Ticket – A$10 per person Cash at meetup – A$15 per person If you haven't purchased your ticket in advance, you can pay A$15 cash when you meet Nina at the venue. Booking ahead helps us plan the right group size and reserve enough space to create the best experience for everyone. ❤️ Why You'll Love It 🤝 Meet lots of new people in one evening. 💬 Themed conversation rounds give you interesting things to talk about, making it much easier to connect than simply approaching a stranger. 🔄 Meet different people throughout the session instead of spending the whole evening talking to just one person. 🎤 A friendly host guides the experience, keeps the rounds moving and helps with introductions. 🥂 Enjoy a FREE welcome drink during the party. 👋 Come solo or with a friend — either way, you'll have plenty of opportunities to meet others. 🎶 Stay for ABBA's Back LIVE and enjoy the party with the people you've just met. 📅 Schedule 6:00 PM – Arrive & meet your host Please arrive at 6:00 PM to get the full Fast Friends experience. You'll meet your host, get settled, enjoy your FREE welcome drink and meet the other attendees. The hosted experience starts at 6:00 PM, so arriving late means missing some of the conversation rounds and introductions. 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM – Fast Friends ❤️ This is the main part of the evening. For 90 minutes, you'll take part in our hosted, themed conversation rounds. You'll move between different people and different conversations, giving you plenty of opportunities to meet and connect with people you might not otherwise have spoken to. 7:30 PM – 8:00 PM – Continue socialising with your host At 7:30 PM, ABBA's Back LIVE begins, but our host remains with the group for another 30 minutes. This gives everyone extra time to continue conversations, make introductions and settle into the party together. 8:00 PM – 9:00 PM – ABBA's Back + socialising 🎶 At 8:00 PM, the hosted Fast Friends experience officially finishes and our host will leave. You are very welcome to stay until 9:00 PM. Enjoy ABBA's Back LIVE, dance, grab a drink and continue chatting with the new friends you've made. The final hour is unhosted, so you can enjoy the party at your own pace. 🌟 First Time? Perfect! Many people come on their own, and lots of attendees are joining Fast Friends for the first time. You don't need to know anyone beforehand. Our host will guide the conversation rounds and help make introductions, creating a relaxed environment where meeting people feels natural rather than forced. Members from our other 7 Sydney Meetup communities also attend many of our events, helping create a larger and more diverse social group. For over 10 years, Fast Friends has been bringing people together through hosted social events in 30+ cities worldwide, helping thousands of people build genuine friendships. Come for Fast Friends. Meet new people. Then enjoy ABBA's Back together. ❤️
