Running since 2012, NSEG is an established group, but we always love playing with new people. ### Where do we play? The meetup is held at Croxton Park Hotel. We play: * Games for beginners (which we call gateway games) like Ticket To Ride, Carcassonne, Splendour, Small World and King of Tokyo. * Strategy (Euro) games like Power Grid, Lords of Waterdeep, Village, Imperial and Suburbia. * Thematic games (that involve lots of dice and role play) like Betrayal at House on the Hill and Dead of Winter. * Party Games (quick and easy games) like Resistance, Spyfall and Time’s Up. * Card Games like Love Letter, Uno, Fluxx, Bohanza, Red7, Fuji Flush, Munchkin. Hi all, us at NeuroSparks and our friends over at NeuroDisco are hosting another monthly board game event! Whether you're new to boardgames, or an experienced player, this could be a great way to meet like-minded people and have some fun too. **The venue:** Drop in at Gameology from 12pm onwards, there will be a wide range of board games for you to grab and play, but you can also bring a board game from home if you'd like. Gameology is also a games store, so feel free to browse what they have available or chat to the friendly staff for help or questions at any time. The board games room where we’ll be hanging out in is on the left as you enter the store and has air conditioning. It also has a limited drink selection, however you’re free to bring food from outside to enjoy in between playing. The cafe across the road called Lux Foundry, or Ima Pantry around the corner are particularly good! But please be mindful of avoiding getting either the venue's or other attendee's games dirty. Each month Gameology collects donations for a different charity. Since they very kindly let us borrow their space, if you attend this event it would be appreciated if you could make a gold coin donation. While a donation is not compulsory, it is greatly appreciated in getting a little more community love and support. **Location:** There is very limited parking at the front of the store as well as in the surrounding area. However, the venue is close to public transport. The closest train station is Anstey station on the Upfield lane and the number 19 tram on Sydney road. There is also the number 508/509 bus line, with the closest stop being on the corner of Sydney road and Blyth street. The venue will also be closing at 5. We'd love to see you all there and if the event goes well this could possibly become a regular event! **PS:** If you have any questions about this event, feel free to message either myself or Ki. The event is open to all neurodivergent people and anyone who values a friendly, inclusive space. You have to stay on your toes, adapt frequently, and keep tabs on the other players, what they have played, and what they may play next! **Do I need to know how to play/have played a trick taking game before?** * Not at all, but it is good to understand the basics and general terminology so you can pick things up a bit easier on the night. We have limited capacity and must abide by it. **I don't have a game to bring, is that okay?** * Generally it will be okay, but it is encouraged to bring and share a game where you can! You can always bring a standard deck of cards or tarot cards and learn a card game or two as well! **Can I bring a guest?** * Unfortunately, unless they have signed up too it won't be possible. We have a strict limit on guests and the event would fill up too quickly otherwise. **How do I get to the venue?** * The 86 Tram is your best bet and has a stop pretty much right outside of the venue. * There are two train stations (Westgarth and Northcote) which are within walking distance. * Parking is available in the area but can get busy. If you don't mind a little walk there is parking down the adjacent street. **Dave, I worry you will win all the games we play. Such an intelligent and beautiful man, you must be a master of the tricks, is this true?** * Firstly - thank-you for the kind words, but secondly - no. I suck at trick taking games and lose more than I win. Yet, I enjoy them for their variety, high interaction, and quick nature regardless. You will be fine if you don't take things too seriously. Are two heads better than one? What about 4 hands over two? Test your puzzling and your communication in our pairs puzzle competition: Two Puzzled Heads. You and your partner have two and a half hours to start and complete a 500 piece puzzle. There will be a maximum of 6 pairs. **This event has 4 of 6 pairs signed only 2 pairs left. One single ticket is available.** Entry is $35 per person (a pair needs two tickets). If you are a solo, please email us at: [info@egnd.com.au](mailto:info@egnd.com.au) so that we can possibly pair you. Don't purchase a ticket first if solo. The winning pair receives free entry to the next puzzle event of their choosing. The top 3 pairs will also go in EGAD's Quickest Puzzlers scoreboard and July of next year, the top 3 over across all monthly events will be gifted a Puzzle Advent Calendar from Reverie Puzzles. However, you are not obligated to attend any other puzzle events. All pairs will receive the puzzle they have worked on to take home with them.
