VRTO 2026 - Spatial Media World Conference & Expo

VRTO 2026 - Spatial Media World Conference & Expo

Wed, Jun 24, 2:00 PM
From VRTO ( Virtual Reality Toronto ) #VRToronto
4.6

VRTO returns to the heart of Toronto this summer, with amazing events including Video Games Month, FIFA, and many other incredible opportunities to meet folks and level up. What VRTO does best is bring you face-to-face with the doers, designers, makers, outside-the-box thinkers, and opportunities. With a third day added to the 2026 schedule, you can pick up a full conference pass or a 1-day pass for any of the three days. Or if you are more interested in the exhibits, a casual roam, and socializing, consider the economical wristband pass, which also gives you access to the second stage, where you will find interesting and actionable presentations on a variety of topics. Whatever the case may be, we love to see the whole community come together from near and far to exchange the latest on all things related to the new spatial media. This includes virtual production, avatars and virtual embodiment, generative AI and pair programming discussions from all sides, pedagogy and enterprise training, game and experience development, virtual and augmented reality, volumetric capture, and much more. There are few shows as dedicated to these specialized disciplines as VRTO, and you can enjoy it at an easy-to-reach central location. This event is presented here for community interest and meetup purposes. A ticket to the event must be purchased to gain [admission at Eventbrite](https://www.eventbrite.com/e/vrto-2026-spatial-media-world-conference-expo-tickets-1981067584474?aff=ebdsoporgprofile) All the info you need will be posted at https://conference.virtualreality.to, and we can't wait to see you at this very special event.

Part 2: Pub hang and Kick-off Party for Many Happy Returns - Immersive Show, at Toronto Fringe 2026! 11 pm-1 am Join us after the escape room for a Meetup at the SECOND FLOOR OF PAUPERS PUB, ANNEX, to celebrate the Kick-off of our leader Julie's incredible immersive show, Many Happy Returns, which will be playing at Toronto Fringe 2026! No registration or payment is required for the pub hang and kick-off party. Now, more about each part: Part 1 - ESCAPE ROOM - 8:45-10:30 pm: RSVP PROCEDURE: \*\*\*To secure your RSVP to the Escape Room part of this event, you must complete TWO steps. Both steps must be completed to attend. Simply RSVP'ing to this event via the Meetup "RSVP" button will NOT secure your ticket. This group is incredible and we have a ton of fun. I appreciate your help in making sure it can run smoothly. 🙂 Here are the steps, in order: STEP 1. Please send $57. per admission as an E-TRANSFER, to [TorontoEscapeRoomMeetup@gmail.com](mailto:TorontoEscapeRoomMeetup@gmail.com) In this email, please note: -> The name of the room you want to join. -> If you are paying for more than 1 admission, please send the appropriate amount for the number of tickets you want (e.g. 2 tickets = $114), to which event(s), and note the name of your guest. \*Please note the escape rooms each have a slightly different price. \*\*\*Out of fairness to members who are committed to attending, if I do not receive your etransfer within 24 hours of you joining the event, your RSVP will be removed to open up space for someone else. You are free to re-join when you are ready to send the etransfer, space permitting. STEP 2. Once you have completed STEP 1, click RSVP on the event for the room you want. If you are bringing a guest, select a +1. Managing large events can be complex so thank you for helping me keep track of all you incredible, amazing escapers! 💕 \*\*\*\*\* Here's the escape room description, from the website: Re. King of the Bootleggers: "In 1920’s Toronto, prohibition is at its peak and at the top of the bootlegging empire sits notorious gangster, Rocco Perri. But if you've got the brains the guts for it, all that could change, and someone new could take the throne. In the sordid world of swingin’ speakeasies, everyone’s out for a piece of the pie. You receive an invitation to a secret meeting at Rocco’s infamous bar. \***This game is not wheelchair accessible.** There are 3 steps to get to the door of the Coachman’s Stable House and a flight of stairs to access the intro/outro space, as well as the washroom. Please see the Secret City website for additional info." This room is 1.5 hours in length, including a key intro and outro. Important details about the escape rooms only: 1. We will book the spots for the escape room, so no planning needed! 2. This is a prepaid event, so you must pay the fee to join in. 3. Please arrive at the listed time. This is scheduled 15 mins ahead of the room time so that everyone can arrive, check in and sign waivers if applicable. 4. No shows or last minute cancellations after the booking has been paid for will not receive refunds due to the non-refundable nature of the escape room businesses. 5. If there is a cancellation/rescheduling of the event, you will receive refunds. 6. If you ever want to join an event but all of our rooms appear to be full/sold out, please message me. I can sometimes find a way to add a person or two; and if I hear from a lot of people, I may even be able to book a whole extra room for the bonus folks so they can join in the fun! 7. Please share the puzzles! We can be big groups thanks to your patronage, and sometimes escape rooms don't have multiple puzzles to work on at one time, so only a few people may be able to work on a given puzzle. Share the love! If you've been the leader on a few puzzles in a row, kindly step back and let someone else have a turn. 8.
