The Hideout Side Quest #3: Silent Disco Dancing
Sat, Sep 19, 6:30 PM## **What are The Hideout Side Quests?** The Hideout Side Quests are half-day pop-up events for adults in and around Berlin to step into The Hideout world without disappearing for a whole weekend. Not the full camp weekend. Just a little piece of it. Come play, make something, meet people, and remember that weekends can feel different. Want the full version? Get on the Summer Camp 2027 waitlist [here](https://tally.so/r/WOAzVP?utm_source=luma). Stay in touch 👉[ Website](https://www.comehideout.com/?utm_source=luma) I [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/come.hideout?utm_source=luma) ## Event Description A silent disco, but less club queue and more “we escaped regular life for a while with headphones on.” We’ll gather, put on headphones, and head out together for a moving little music adventure. There will be nostalgic songs, guilty pleasures, tiny prompts, group moments, and a few very necessary dance breaks. Basically, a field trip for adults whose group chats are too loud and whose weekends could use a better soundtrack. No dance skills required. No cool-person energy needed. This is not Berghain. Nobody is checking your outfit at the door, mostly because there is no door. Just comfortable shoes, headphones, music, and the strange joy of watching adults silently have the time of their lives in public. ## What to Expect * Silent disco headphones * A guided outdoor route * Multiple music channels * Nostalgic songs and guilty pleasures * Dance prompts / group moments * A few “Damn, this song is a banger!” moments * Time to warm up or hang out after * A very low-pressure, playful atmosphere Come alone or with a friend. Nobody is watching as much as you think. Except maybe us, lovingly. ## **What’s Included** Your ticket includes silent disco headphones, the guided field trip route, music channels, hosted group activities, dance prompts, and lots of fun dancing. * Live Host & Walking DJ * Channel 1: Best of 80s International * Channel 2: DJ’s Choice — ’80s/’90s, Beats & 2000s * Bilingual — German & English * Whatever the weather — we have umbrellas * All age groups welcome Just show up. We’ll provide the music. **Good to Know** This is planned as an outdoor silent disco field trip. September in Berlin can be unpredictable—it can get chilly all of a sudden, so wear comfortable shoes and bring a light jacket. The music will help. We’ll be moving, dancing, wandering, and pretending this is a perfectly normal thing to do in public. The final meeting point and practical details will be shared before the event. **8:30 p.m. –** Step into The Hideout world: Arrival, check-in, headphone pickup, introductions **9:00 PM –** Press play: Guided silent disco field trip, music channels, dance prompts, dancing in public **10:15 PM -** Last song + Proof You Were Here: Final dance moment, group photo, headphone return **10:30 PM – Official** end **The Hideout Rule** Comfortable shoes. Low shame. High commitment to whatever song is currently playing in your headphones. You don’t have to dance well—you just have to let the music take over a little. \-\-\- By signing up\, you agree to be filmed and photographed for The Hideout content

Cycle & dine - Harvest festival in Kuhhorst
Sat, Sep 26, 7:06 AM========== FACTS ========== ROUTE: Paulinenaue > Kuhhorst > Nauen LEVEL: Easy peasy DISTANCE: 38ish kms MEETING POINT: 08:50 - Berlin Südkreuz ========== FACTS ========== ========= DETAILS ========= **ROUTE:** Autumn is knocking on the door and harvesting is more or less done. So this is the time to thank whomever is responsible for the crop by celebrating Harvest festivals. This time we visit [Kuhhorst](https://diekuhhorster.de/erntedankfest/), an inclusive Farm north east of Berlin. Some of you may know them from their organic products which are sold in Berlin as well. Starting in Paulinenaue we will also pass a very lovely former railroad embankment with (hopefully) very colorful trees around. Arrived in Kuhhorst after about 20km we enjoy the animals (alive and on the plate) and all the activities offered there ([see website](https://diekuhhorster.de/erntedankfest/)). To avoid cycling in too much darkness we head back the remaining 15km at around 16:30 at a relaxed speed. **SPEED:** Leisurely around 16km/h, at least if the wind doesn't come from the front. This is like "Being able to see the details on the side of the road and enjoying the view in general… and have a chat." **DISTANCE AND TERRAIN:** This is an about 38ish km ride, with mainly mixed but also some solid or soft ground. In general: Bikes with thin tyres (Race bikes, Road bikes, Fixies), rented bikes (Uber, Swapfiets) or any special bikes (Folding bikes, BMX etc.) are not suitable! You won't have fun, trust me! And if you want to bring Kids or Animals please get in touch before! **MEETING POINT:** 08:50 - Berlin Südkreuz, at the ticket machine right after the NORTHERN moving staircase (facing the TV-Tower. I have a blue Villiger Trekking bike. But you can hop in at any other station if you want (and dare). **TICKET:** It is 6,30 way out / person and the same way back, so it doesn't make much sense to organise a BBT. The Deutschlandticket is valid. And don't forget your "[24-hour bicycle VBB network](https://www.vbb.de/en/tickets/tickets-for-your-bicycle/24-hour-ticket-bicycle/)"-ticket which is about 7,50 EUR. **WAY OUT:** 09:06 - dep. Berlin Südkreuz, RE8 from platform 8, 10:08 - arr. Paulinenaue **WAY BACK:** 17:59 - dep. Nauen, taking RE8 18:51 - arr. Südkreuz **RECOMMENDATIONS:** Check the train schedule in the morning! The DB loves to stir up the plans by changing trains on short notice! If anything happens the Meeting point is the starting point of the cycling. While we'll stop somewhere for a lunch and/or coffee please always bring your snacks but especially some drinks along! And, PLEASE make sure your bike is in a proper state! Check your tyre pressure and oil the chain! Does your light work? Having a toolset is highly recommended and a spare inner tube to fix a flat tyre a big plus! While we might be able to help in some circumstances please think about what happens if we can't! Thank you! Bringing special equipment (Helmet, safety vest etc.) is NOT required but welcome if you feel more safe using it. ========= DETAILS =========
