Silent Reading / Creating Club at W66 (Saturday) [Luma to RSVP]

Sat, Apr 18, 8:30 AM
From Silent Book Club - Berlin Chapter
4.8

RSVP on Luma: [https://luma.com/pa24sd60?utm_source=Meetup](https://luma.com/pa24sd60?utm_source=Meetup) Silent Reading / Creating Club is a gathering for people who enjoy focusing together in public. Bring a book, a notebook, a sketchpad, knitting needles, whatever you’d like to spend a quiet hour doing. All projects and all participants are welcome. We’re building a community of readers and creators who value depth, presence, and shared silence. The reading and creating isn't the real highlight, though, it’s in the people who return and make it feel like a familiar room. (Please RSVP “yes” only if you can make it, so we can save a seat for you and others on the waitlist.) Our Meeting Point is the **W66 Café**. There’s no entrance fee, but please order at least one item from the café and don’t bring outside food or drinks 🙂 No assignments, expectations, or pressure. Just a shared hour of intentional silence, followed by the opportunity for good conversation. 🕰 Our Agenda **10:30 – 11:00** Arrivals, ordering drinks/food, light social time **11:00 – 12:00** The Great Quiet Hour (Read. Write. Sketch. Code. Think. Sit.) **12:00 – 12:30** Optional socializing: share what you were reading or creating, or simply continue in quiet focus. ## 🏡 House Guidelines To keep this space calm and welcoming for everyone: • Silence during the focus hour (no calls or conversations) • Put cellphones on silent mode • If using technology, please avoid meetings or audio (headphones please!) • Arrive before 11:00 if possible to minimize disruptions

🌸 Neurodivergent Spring Cleaning Swap🌸

🌸 Neurodivergent Spring Cleaning Swap🌸

Sat, Apr 25, 12:00 PM
From Berlin Neurodivergent Community
4.7

**Out with the old, in with the "new-you"—through reuse instead of consumption.** As the seasons change, so do our interests and needs. Join us for an assembly in the form of a community swap meet, organized by and for neurodivergent folks to promote sustainability and community care. **The idea is simple:** maybe you want to clear out your closets, or maybe you just want to meet us at the park to see if anything interests you. Both are perfectly okay! Whether you come with a bag full of treasures or arrive empty-handed just to hang out and browse, you are welcome here. **Info & Accessibility:** * **Date/Time:** Saturday, 25th of April, 14:00 - 17:00 (**IF IT RAINS; WE WILL RESCHEDULE**) * **LOCATION:** The meetup map is not acurate, go to this google map link and find th neurodivergent sign: [https://maps.app.goo.gl/u9rygDgU8ADDR6Ec6](https://maps.app.goo.gl/u9rygDgU8ADDR6Ec6) * **Access:** accessible for people with reduced mobility. **Bring items you no longer need (If You Want To), such as:** * 📚 Books, comics, and zines * 🧩 Puzzles, board games, and fidget toy * 👕 Clean clothing, hats, and accessories * 🖍️ Art supplies and stationary * 🏠 Housewares or decor * 🧦 Cozy items (blankets, soft socks) **How It Works (It's Simple):** * **Bring a Blanket or small towel:** lay out your items in front of you. * **Food & drinks to share** (optional) * **Open Trust System:** Once your items are on your blanket, they are considered "up for grabs." * **Browse Freely:** Get up, walk around, and explore what others have brought. If you see something you like on someone else's blanket, feel free to take it—even if they aren't there. * **Enjoy:** Find your next favorite thing, or simply enjoy the sunshine and the company. * **What's left?** Anything unclaimed at the end must be taken back home. **The Vibe:** This is a low-pressure event for neurodivergent people. There's no need to hover over your items or worry about making conversation. You are welcome to wander, stim, sit quietly with a book you just found, or take a break on your blanket whenever you need. **Community Disclaimer** This event is a community-led initiative organized by neurodivergent volunteers who dedicate their time, energy, and resources to create a welcoming space. We strive to make our events as accessible as possible—both financially and in terms of neurodivergent needs—but we also have our own limitations. We kindly ask for your understanding and empathy, as we rely on the support and cooperation of all participants to foster a healthy, inclusive environment. **Come swap, find your next special interest, refresh your space, and contribute to a more sustainable community**

**Join us for an afternoon of board games/card games, connection, and fun!** Location: Zwischenraume, formerly Curious Fabrications https://maps.app.goo.gl/v8tCPcZugTmRq8HN8 Whether you're a seasoned player or completely new to playing games, you're welcome here. We’ll teach you some of our favorites, or you can bring your own game and introduce it to others. **📖 What to Expect** * We’re passionate about board games and excited to share them with you! * No experience needed - we'll decide spontaneously which games we'll play depending on the games you bring and then guide you through the rules of games. We are **happy to help you choose a game** that suits you best. Some games are cooperative, while others are competitive—so there’s something for everyone! If you'd like, bring your own board or card game! Just be prepared to explain the rules to new players. We'll also have an extra silent room for noise sensitive people since some games can be very loud. 🔊 Arriving late? No problem! You may be able to join a game right away or there might be a short wait. 📖 **Event Guidelines** ❤ **Be kind and respectful**—we’re creating a safe and welcoming space together. 🧩 **Bring anything that helps you feel comfortable** (noise-canceling headphones, fidget toys, etc.). ☕ Since we’re meeting at a café, **please support the venue by ordering a snack or drink. Outside drinks or snacks are not permitted.** 📖 **Limited Spots & RSVPs** To keep the event enjoyable for everyone, we have a limited number of spaces available. If you RSVP and can no longer make it, please update your RSVP as soon as possible so someone else can take your spot. This helps us plan games and ensure everyone has a great time! Come as you are and enjoy a space where you can have fun, experience games, and connect with other neurodivergent folks. **We can’t wait to meet you!**

💬Neurodivergent Language Meetup: German (Conversation)

💬Neurodivergent Language Meetup: German (Conversation)

Sat, May 2, 1:00 PM
From Berlin Neurodivergent Community
4.7

Welcome! This meetup is for neurodivergent people (ADHD, autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia, OCD, etc.) who are learning German and want a low-pressure, structured space to practice speaking. **Logistics:** * 📍Location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/5weyJLA7EPgscxPY7 (Gleisdreieck Park near Tor Eins cafe) * 🎧 Bring sensory management tools (headphones, stim toys, sunglasses, etc) * A blanket or towel to sit on * Water and a snack * (Optional) A notebook if you like writing things down **How it works:** 🗣️ **Level-based small groups** When we start, we’ll quickly split into groups based on your self-assessed level (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2). → **Max. 4 people per group** to keep sensory load low and speaking time fair. ⏲️ **Organizers group check** The organizers will come around from time to time to each group and ask if you want to stay in your current group or move to a different level—either higher or lower— or if you’d like to talk in different group. We’ll help you move. No pressure. No questions asked. 🚫 No pressure to speak every round. Just listening is fine. 🃏 **Conversation cards & prompts** Each group gets a set of prompt cards (simple questions, situational tasks, or grammar challenges appropriate for that level). You can follow the cards or go off-script — whatever feels right that moment. Let’s practice German in a way that actually works for our brains. ✨
