Columbus Comedy Improv Meetup at Gresso's!

Columbus Comedy Improv Meetup at Gresso's!

Thu, May 7, 11:00 PM
From Columbus Improv Comedy Meetup!
4.9

Whether you've never done improv before, or you've done it for so long you knew Del Close on a personal level, or anywhere in between, come join us! Swing by *Gresso's* for the **Columbus Improv Comedy Meetup** for some fun and games! The idea behind improv is to create entire scenes from scratch based on a suggestion from the audience. This can be done in game form, like *Whose Line Is It Anyway*, *ComedySportz*, or *Wild 'n Out*; it could also be done to tell stories, like *Middleditch and Schwartz*. Our meetup, which is central Ohio's longest running (and free!) weekly comedy event, brings the games (and occasionally different forms) for you to play in a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment. Not only is it a lot of fun, but you get to work on thinking faster on your feet, plus it's an excellent way to meet new people and make friendships that'll last a lifetime! Ask yourself if you want to join the **Columbus Improv Comedy Meetup**, and say "Yes, And" that you'll have fun!

Frequently asked questions

Meetup is a platform for discovering and joining local and online groups and events based on shared interests, allowing users to meet like-minded individuals.

Women can search Meetup for groups aligned with their interests. Use keywords or explore the community section to find spaces catering specifically to women.

Women can find a variety of groups focusing on professional networking, personal growth, hobbies, and discussions, among many other interests.

To join a group, search for your interest, click on the group title, and choose to join the group. You'll be incorporated into their events mailing list.

Yes, many groups offer online events. Check the event details for location; online gatherings mean you can join no matter where you are.

Meetup allows users to browse for women's events in specific locations. You can find local gatherings through a city-based search.

You can RSVP to events directly on Meetup pages. This helps organizers manage attendance and keeps you updated with event details.

Attendance is flexible. You can choose to attend events that fit your schedule, so there is no obligation to attend all gatherings.

Not necessarily; events can be either online or in-person, depending on the group organizers’ choice. Always check the event specifics for details.

Joining Meetup and most community groups is free, though some events might have costs to cover related expenses. Usually, these are specified upfront.

Group availability depends on existing communities in your area, and not all interests might have active groups. Consider creating your own if nothing fits.

Meetup supports group-based gatherings rather than one-on-one mentoring. However, some women-focused groups might offer mentorship within their events.

The success of Meetup groups can vary based on organizer commitment and member engagement. Your experience will largely depend on your participation level.

Safety is a priority, and groups are expected to maintain a respectful environment. It's advisable to check reviews and communicate with organizers if needed.

Events on Meetup are hosted by group organizers, not Meetup itself. Organizers manage the community and run the events.
