What we're about

The page serves liberty minded people of Duval County as part of the Duval County affiliate of the Libertarian Party of Florida.

We have two meetings a month, a business meeting held via teleconference and a more informal social meeting held in person at a local restaurtant.

What to Expect:

• Socializing

• A speaker or two, come to learn a skill, about a local issue, or about government

• Networking activities

• Calls to action or other short engagement activity

Any and all meetings and events we have should be available here. If you want to get further involved, please be sure to like our facebook page ( https://www.facebook.com/lpduvalfl/ ) and visit our website ( http://jaxlp.com )

Upcoming events (4+)

City Council "Throw Down"

Jacksonville City Hall

Join us at City Hall for semimonthly City Council meetings and tell them how you feel about the job they are doing.

Meetings get interesting and may include wild speakers. So come down and sound off.

Prepare to speak for 2-3 minutes, depending on time the council sets. Be vocal and hold members accountable. While we support using the full breadth of the English language at your discretion, we encourage members to only be as angry as necessary to be heard.

Monthly Social

Leci's Italian

Please join us for our monthly social at Leci's. This is the time to get together and socialize, debate finer political points, enjoy food and drink, and plan our efforts to have a positive impact the Duval area.

Our business meeting will be the 1st Wednesday of each month at the same location and time (7pm).

Gold Standard Rally

Veterans United Craft Brewery

Join us as we host a final rally in support of our three local city council candidates. You will NOT want to miss this event.

Libertarians love talking about the gold standard. What better name for an event with amazing Libertarians?

Along with Tracy Robison (District 8 ), Eric Parker (At Large 1), and Tub Rorabaugh (At Large 5), we're proud to announce attendance by Larry Sharpe and Chase Oliver.

Larry Sharpe, New York, ran for Governor twice achieving ballot access with about 100,000 votes.

Chase Oliver, Georgia, ran for Senate causing the runoff between Herschel Walker and Rapheal Warnock. Chase is also exploring a run for the Libertarian Party nomination for President in 2024.

We'll hear from these great Libertarians and the first 40 registered will receive a drink ticket on us.

What are we asking? It's simple:

- Invite a friend (or three)
- Show up
- Provide a $20 donation (at the door)
- Enjoy the night taking photos and talking to great people
