REVISED: Lucid Dream Characters at the Self-Realization Gardens

UPDATE 8/18/21.*. Since scheduling this meetup a few weeks ago, some things have changed regarding COVID numbers in our area again. I decided to modify our event so that we'll skip going to Swami's Café and go directly to Swami's park for a picnic style chat. After the gardens, you can grab your blankets, chairs, and snacks/drinks from your car, then meet us on the lawn. This way, no one will have to wait in the cafe line or be in a likely crowded (although outdoor) café if they're not comfortable. We will be outdoors the whole time but feel free to wear a mask if you'd like. See you there! ~Kristen

What better way to marvel at the wonders of your mind than to tour beautiful oceanfront gardens with a group of lucid dreamers? Join us for what's sure to be a delectable afternoon dialoguing about your inner cast of dream characters.

You meet intriguing dream characters every night while you dream—whether you remember these encounters or not. But there’s nothing more interesting than meeting these figures in the lucid dream state…

Your dream characters can range from quite realistic to mystical and other worldly. You might encounter animals that can talk, famous people in history, the deceased, mythical beings, and so on. These encounters may happen just once, or they may recur in your dreams over time.

Some believe your dream characters mirror your own mind and your greater self. Knowing they reflect a part of you can help you relate to yourself with a greater degree of intimacy and intellect. You can dialogue with these characters to learn about yourself, and resolve inner conflicts or nightmares. You can connect with these figures to facilitate greater empathy, transcendent states, and other healing or creative interactions.

Others believe that your dream characters are independent entities with their own agendas and consciousness. You might find some characters appear vacant, stereotypical, or robotic. Other times, you’ll encounter dream figures with more wisdom, depth, and realness than you could have imagined.

No matter your perspective, meeting your dream characters with lucidity can help you learn more about yourself, consciousness, and self-other relationships.

On Sunday August 22, 2021 at 12:30 pm, we’ll be meeting at the Self-Realization Fellowship for a casual tour of their beautiful, oceanfront gardens. Afterward, we will head about a block away to Swami’s Cafe. There we can chat about lucid dreaming and the interesting beings of your dreams. You can share as much or as little as you like at this Meetup, or just come to listen and learn.

As always, if you RSVP you'll be there but then change your mind, please change your RSVP status so we aren't waiting for you or saving you a seat.

12:30 pm Meet us at the garden entrance and introduce yourself.
12:45 pm We will casually tour the gardens.
1:15 pm (Approximately) Join us at Swami's Seaside Park and for a picnic-style chat. Bring your own chairs, blankets, and snacks.
