What we’re about

Funded by the US Fish and Wildlife Service and in partnership with the Southern Nevada Public Land Management Agencies, the Outdoor Recreation Leaders Program (ORLP) runs workshops helping outdoor leaders and future leaders develop the skills they need to recreate responsibly while enjoying the amazing natural spaces in and around Clark County, NV. Workshops cover basic to advanced skills and may include fun outdoor adventures as part of the learning process, but we also offer short trainings to get you the information you need and let you plan your next trip.

Anyone who leads groups in the outdoors or is interested in leading groups outdoors on anything from a BBQ or picnic to a day hike with friends to a multiday backpacking trip will benefit from our programs. Participants will gain skills and connect with like-minded community members.

Remember that you are an outdoor leader whether you plan a family outing for a few people or manage groups of 50+ participants for an organization.
