New participants must complete a waiver (at the carpool meet-up location). If you've hiked with Paul before & completed the waiver, then no additional waiver is required.

Kraft Mountain offers a 3.5- to 4-mile loop through Calico Basin, featuring steep climbs (Hell Hill), scenic washes, and sections of red sandstone that include moderate rock scrambling (10–15%). This route tests both endurance and focus, offering hikers a well-rounded challenge with rewarding summit views.

Everyone starts on the waitlist. Also, make sure you have a current photo.

HIKE QUICK STATS:
• Location: Kraft Mountain parking lot
• Distance: 3.5 - 4 miles
• Elevation gain: 800 ft
• Difficulty & pace: moderate/strenuous
• Time: 4hours (includes driving)
• No guests, children, canines, or event crashers, please!
• All attendees must be members of LVHikers. It only takes a couple of minutes to sign up, and it's FREE.

GEAR:

• Backpack
• Hiking shoes; approach shoes are helpful
• No trekking poles
• 2L of water, sun protection, snacks & electrolytes

CARPOOLS:
We will meet at the Red Rock Hotel, West parking garage, 4th floor, section 4D, near the ramp to form carpools.
