Under the Microscope - The Role of AI in Pathology

Details

Pathology and radiology are surprisingly similar in the sense that both fields heavily depend on medical imaging.

In pathology, the images are taken of very thin slices of human tissue which were prepared to be analyzed under the microscope.

These images can be digitalized and can be further analyzed with methods of artificial intelligence, especially deep learning which has led to massive advances in image classification and segmentation in the past years.

But where does the application of AI in pathology stand today?

Join us on the 20th of May at 6 pm CET for our next meetup, again a joint event of Machine Learning in Healthcare and meetup.ai run by Nicholas Borsotto who will also moderate the panel discussion called

"Under the Microscope - The Role of AI in Pathology".

Our panellists will be Maschenka Balkenhol, Felix Faber and Chen Sagiv (see the event card for headshots and short descriptions).
