ADVENTURE with ALI 🛶 🥾🛶🏕️🏄‍♀️🚣🚴🏔️🏕️🎣🥾 Paddle the Altamaha River

Adventure with Ali is a new series of outdoor adventures . As an outdoor enthusiast and adventure enabler I’m always looking for new adventures to share with you . Some of these will be my own organized events and others will be venues or events that I have learned about & want to share with you at Macon Outdoors . Besides my usual events which include : camping ,backpacking , kayaking, paddle boarding , primitive camping & hike / paddles , etc . We might go chasing waterfalls, paddle a new river or check off a bucket list adventure ( yours or mine ).

Join me in paddling 15 miles on the Altamaha River aka “ Georgia’s Little Amazon “ . This is a 15 mile paddle offered by Baxley-Appling county commerce . A registration fee of $30 is required ( prepay ), includes shuttle fee. We will paddle as the Macon Outdoors group within a group of other participants & will start & finish as a group .
15 miles is a long paddle for some of you .. but keep in mind depending on river level and flow , we may get to “float” a bit
The pace : Let’s finish in approx 5 hours . This will require consistent paddling ( with some floating , taking pics and lunch / snack breaks ). Be prepared & honestly assess your endurance / paddling ability. 💪
Bring : plenty of hydration , lots of snacks , lunch , bug spray , sunscreen , camera , paddle warrior attitude . 😎
Paddle life vests — required !
Hopefully we will see plenty of wildlife, Egrets, Herons & Cypress trees draped in Spanish moss & of course the Alligators .
