We run social events at museums, art galleries, exhibitions and other cultural and historical activities in London, for those typically in their 30’s, 40’s and 50’s.
We aim to host a mixture of free and ticketed events to give as many people as possible access to our socials.
MACS is free to join with no membership fees or dues.
Members are very welcome to host events, just drop one of the Organisers a message and we can discuss.

MACS Goes To… Greenwich Walking Tour with Heritage Guides 🌳

MACS has been given a special price for this walking tour by David from Heritage Guides! Tickets normally £20, but for MACS it’s £11.55.
Explore the history and architecture of Greenwich on a guided walking tour. Discover the area’s famous residents and historic buildings.
Please note that this walk will be photographed and filmed. By attending this walk you give permission for Heritage Guides and MACS to use photographs and/or videos of you in promotional material.

MACS Goes To… Henry Moore @ Kew
Kew Gardens, Kew Green, Richmond, GBJoin MACS at Kew Gardens to explore the Henry Moore: Monumental Nature exhibtion on Saturday 03 October!

Set across Kew's iconic landscapes and world-renowned botanical collections, the Henry Moore: Monumental Nature exhibition brings art and nature together on an extraordinary scale, blurring the boundaries between sculpture and living form.
Interact with 30 monumental sculptures installed throughout the Gardens, which span Moore’s nearly 70-year career and demonstrate the varying shape and scale of his artworks.

Childhood in War is a free, interactive exhibition exploring how children have experienced conflict from 1914 to the present day. Let their unique perspective show you their adaptability and resilience, despite extraordinary and challenging circumstances.
Bring history to life as you step inside recreations of an evacuee train carriage and a Cold War-era kitchen, offering a glimpse into everyday life during times of conflict. Through personal stories, immersive displays and hands-on discovery, you can explore how war affects everything from school and play to home and health.

MACS Goes To… Eltham Palace 👑
Eltham Palace, Court Yard, Eltham, Greenwich, London SE9 5QE, GBJoin MACS at Eltham Palace on Sunday 11 October! 👑🌳
In 1936, eccentric millionaires Stephen and Virginia Courtauld decided to build their magnificent art deco mansion right next to the medieval Great Hall of Eltham Palace, creating a masterpiece of modern interiors.
Explore enviable interiors like the amazing art deco dining room, site of many illustrious dinner parties; and Virginia Courtauld’s instagram worthy gold-plated bathroom.
For a complete contrast with the 1930s rooms, step into the 1470s Great Hall, which is part of the medieval royal palace of Eltham, where Henry VIII spent his childhood.
Finally, don’t miss the palace’s beautiful gardens, with their mix of medieval remains and Arts and Crafts influences.
Recommended visit time is 2 to 3 hours.
