Jewelry workshop nights

on Monday nights I will be hosting a workshop type event. Were I will be available for check offs, and any help you may want on your projects. I will also have classes on Mondays also which will run for 3 months. I will post Mondays I cant make to avoid any problems.

The workshop will run from 7 till 10. classes will start at 6:30 so I can get those started on their projects, and hand out materials. You will need to pay for classes at the time you register for them on Mondays. I will take cards or cash. Those taking a class can sign up any time during that quarter, and take the class at anytime too. I will try to have a variety of classes from beginning to more advanced topics. If a class fills up I will work to get your project started on another Monday. Some classes will need to be restricted to a few where tools or space is limited. There is no time limit on working on your project. Keep coming in till your finished and happy.

I am hoping this will give people more time to work on a project and not feel rushed to complete in one night. Plus allowing you more flexibility.

For the quarter starting in July to September I will do 4 classes.

1\. silver soldering beginners
we will go over the torch and its use and safety. A small project will be soldered. A pendant, bangle or similar.

2\. torch fired flowers beginners
We will go over the process of building a flower and firing. Materials will be copper to make the flower and variety of types of flowers. Various colors of enamel will be available too.

3.enameled pansies advanced
we will build and enamel using a wet process of enamelling. Copper will be our base and construction and soldering will be required.

4\. botanical casting intermediate
you will be asked to bring in a small botanical piece to cast. I would ask that the piece be nio larger then your thumb long or wide, a leaf or small flower would be ideal. We will apply wax to parts to reinforce and build a tree for casting. Brass, or copper will be used for this project. Silver can be used but will order this for those who want it at extra cost for amount used.
