Exploratory 8.8 km loop through the upper hills of Ponta do Sol, gaining around 500 m as the trail winds above terraced fields and deep valleys. Expect narrow sections on steep slopes with big exposure, so this route is not recommended for anyone with vertigo or unstable footing.
