Join other women age 50+ and try out the Core Yoga class at Monona Terrace, which starts at noon. We will meet 15 minutes prior to class,in the class area, on the 2nd floor indoor terrace, facing the lake, with large window views - just to say hello and introduce ourselves. The Core Yoga class starts at Noon. Bring your mat, towel, and water bottle or thermos. A Monona terrace guide will be at the entrance who can point you to the classroom location (in case for any reason it moves to a different floor). PLEASE PARTICIPATE IN THIS EVENT AT YOUR OWN RISK. You must be able to get to the floor, and raise yourself from the floor by yourself. Afterwards, those of us with the time can go to Wonderstate or Collectivo for tea or coffee afterwards.

The class is taught by Joe Temte. She has been teaching for over 20 years – everything from kickboxing and weight training to yoga and Pilates. In 2018, Jo completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training with Alex Pfeiffer, 21st Century Yoga on the Mat. More recently, she earned Mind Body Specialist and Pain Free Movement Specialist certificates from ACE.

Your host has her own joint and ligament problems, so she will be participating with some trepidation - knowing that gentle movement is incredibly important to maintaining good health.
