Embroidery Presentation at Madison Embroiders' Guild (FREE - For women 50+)

Details
Do you enjoy stitchery of any kind? Attend a Madison Embroiders' Guild Lecture on stumpwork - a decorative textural form of embroidery that reached its height in the 17th century. Your host has enjoyed her hand at it in years past, and hopes to be inspired to bring out her needles and thread. The presenter is Ms. Celeste Chalasani, a life member of the guild, and teacher of these techniques.
Please RSVP here on Meetup by June 6 so I can acquire a head count and provide it to the guild. There is no door fee. Of course, you may visit their site at here to become a member for $68 annually, and admission will be free. The guild asks that you become a member if you attend more than 2 events.
In the photo section I've included a book by Tatiana Popova, who has some inspiring patterns and ideas for a modern take on stumpwork.
