Board Games at Ben's - White Elephant Post Holiday Gift Exchange & BBQ Gaming

Official Madison Area Board Games Meetup Post Holiday White Elephant Yankee Swap Dirty Santa Thieving Elves Kamikaze Gift Exchange and Stealing Event!!! $25 maximum limit or bring something you got from the holidays that you absolutely hated to pass along to some unsuspecting gifter!

This will be located on the far southwest side of Madison in the Glacier Ridge neighborhood; close to McKee road and Maple Grove drive, and a couple of blocks from Country Grove Park. I'll send out the address closer to the event day.

We will be having the Official Madison Area Board Games Meetup Post Holiday White Elephant Yankee Swap Dirty Santa Thieving Elves Kamikaze Gift Exchange and Stealing Event. Rules are posted in the event pic and include:

1. Putting all wrapped gifts in a central location. Gifts can be anything $25 or less, or something you received during the holidays and want to pass along. Gifts are encouraged to be weird, wild, wacky, strange, obscure, and/or some random item you purchased while intoxicated and later regretted
2. Everyone will randomly draw a number to determine selection order
3. 1st participant chooses a single gift, unwraps it, and shows everyone their prized possession!
4. Each subsequent number has 2 options! Steal an unwrapped gift, or Choose an unopened gift
5. If your gift is stolen, you may: Steal from another, or Choose an unopened gift
6. Gifts can only be stolen up to 3 times and a gift is frozen with the fourth owner
7. If 1st player has the same original gift they started with at the very end, they may trade with any unfrozen gift
8. Everyone enjoys their gifts!

Official gift exchange will happen around 5pm! (participation is optional, not required, but highly encouraged, and if you didn't bring a gift, you don't get to participate)

There will also be the typical board gaming activities throughout the day. I have several dozen board games and there's usually 2-6 games being played at a time. Feel free to bring any games you want to get to the table! We may do a Crokinole tournament or a larger group game at some point (Monikers!).

I'll be smoking some meats of some sorts, possibly a brisket and/or more of that Peruvian chicken from New Years.

My 2 dog roommates Pete and Pete, and 2 cat roommates Darryl and Darryl will also be attending, but aren't allowed to participate in the gift exchange nor be a gift in the exchange, so don't even try it! So if you're allergic to dogs/cats or don't like dogs/cats or don't like dogs/cats that aren't allowed to be exchanged as gifts, then don't come.
