SESSION ABSTRACT –
Azure Data Factory - A Typical EDW Load pattern
Azure Data Factory is the primary ETL solution on the Azure platform. It provides an incredible set of modern features enabling rapid development for complex ETL pipelines. We will spend this session to go through a typical process of building a typical pipeline and explore some of the new capabilities this new modern tool provides which, was not possible in traditional on-premises systems like SSIS.
SPEAKER BIO –
Brijeet Akula – Principal Architect - Nordic Global
Brijeet has been working in the Data field for over 15-years, primarily on the Microsoft Data platform. Originally started out in the Data Warehousing and BI space, and then moved on to Software development focusing on data solutions. Over the last Five years, he has been implementing all net new solutions on the Azure Platform, and has had to learn through all of the fun challenges that come with moving to the cloud.
He is a strong believer of the data community. He has been organizing SQL Saturday events and regular user group meetings in Madison, WI for several years.
