This is a new group for LGBTQ individuals and families interested in Digital Photography. From beginners to professionals interested in going on photography outings and getting together, learning from one another and socializing. The only requirement is that you have an interest in digital photography and that you have access to any device that takes digital pictures. No expensive equipment is necessary or required. Use your smartphone, point and shoot or DSLR. This group will not cover film photography unless it can be converted to a digital format.
All areas of digital photography can be covered, but we would like to avoid areas such as professional portrait photography or areas such as wedding photography. The group ideally would meet once a month for different outings, both indoors and outdoors to take photos or meet up to discuss, critique and learn from a monthly photography assignment based on a predetermined idea or theme that group picks and perhaps education offerings. This group is free and is open to any members of the LGBTG community and their families.
