November 10 --- Jane Austen Birthday Party and "Northanger Abbey"

Please join us on November 10, 2025 for a celebration of Jane Austen's 250th birthday (she was born on December 16, 1775) and a discussion of her unique Gothic novel, "Northanger Abbey," published in 1818.

We will be meeting in a downstairs conference room at the Park Hotel.

If you have Regency-era clothes to wear, feel free to wear them to this special birthday party edition of the book group!

There is no cost to attend the meetup, except for the food and drinks you order from The Post bar and restaurant in the hotel. Please keep in mind that The Post is a business, and that the wait staff depends on your tips for their income.

Please note that due to county health code regulations, The Post cannot allow us to bring home-baked cakes or other homemade food to this event.

There are two different meetups this month for the same book. The format and discussion will be the same for both meetups. Please RSVP for one or the other.
