Join us for Shakespeare's comedy "Much Ado About Nothing," performed at University Theater by UW-Madison college student actors. "Much Ado" is one of the Bard's most popular plays, and was the inspiration for the 2023 movie "Anyone But You."

We will meet at the Memorial Union Stiftskeller (on the ground floor, next to the Rathskeller) at 6 pm for a pre-show dinner and drinks from the Union's vendors. Check the Meetup app for updates in case we move to a different location in the building.

Downtown Madison tends to be crowded on weekends at this time of year, especially if the weather is nice, so give yourself time to find parking.

We'll start walking over to the theater (University Theater, in Vilas Hall) shortly after 7 pm. The show starts at 7:30. The performance is just over 2 hours and includes one intermission.

We have a block of tickets, which are at the discounted group rate of $17 each. Bring $17 in cash to pay for your ticket (no Venmo, PayPal, or other online apps).

This is not a "book group meeting" as it's not expected that you'll have read the play in advance (although it's always a good idea to do that anyway with any of Shakespeare's works).
