What we’re about
The Madison Psychedelic Society is a diverse group of people who share an interest in psychedelic experience. We meet to discuss the history, culture, and science of psychedelics as well as to share personal experiences and offer friendship and support. In addition to conversation, we offer guest speakers, films, and opportunities for public outreach. We host several satellite conversations, please come to our meetings to learn more! Our group is public and open to all, and always looking for speaker and event ideas. Our meeting are safe spaces for all.
The Madison Psychedelic Society cannot condone the use of illegal substances, and does not tolerate use, seeking, or sale of controlled substances at our events.

See all- MPS LOGO REDESIGN CONTEST!Needs location
In the seven years since its launch in 2018, the Madison Psychedelic Society has aimed to continue growing, adapting, evolving, and keeping up with the times by offering new and different events, experiences, and opportunities. As we continue to look ahead to the future of psychedelics and plant medicines, we now invite you to join in that evolution – with a colorful and creative way to give back to MPS! From NOW through Friday, August 15th, 2025 we are accepting entries for a logo redesign contest!
Whether you’re a professional designer, an aspiring artist, a hobbyist, or somewhere in-between, you’re invited to sharpen your pencils, fire-up your drawing tablets, ready your paint palettes – and put your thinking-caps on to envision a fresh, eye-catching new emblem for MPS!
Every conceivable medium will be accepted, including but not limited to: crayon, marker, colored pencil, pen and ink, paint (acrylic, oil, watercolor, tempera, gouache), oil pastels, graphite, chalk, charcoal, digital art, mixed media, collage, felt, yarn, fiber, woodcut print, etc.
For Full Contest Requests, Rules, and Regulations: EMAIL madisonpsychedelicsociety@gmail.com
We will host a logo redesign party at the end of August (date/location TBD) where all entries will be on display, and MPS members will be able to vote on their favorites, leading to several 'people’s choice’ winners. The MPS organizing team will select from these winners a logo which will become the public-facing emblem of Madison Psychedelic Society for the foreseeable future. Look for an official unveiling in the Fall, with new merch available!
MPS logo uses includes, but are not limited to: our online presence on Meetup, Signal, Facebook, and websites; our press releases, emails, and flyers sent to members and the community; and the posters, signs, brochures, postcards, pamphlets, stickers, and shirts we will share with the wider public. (Runners-up, honorable mentions, and people’s choices may also be used on limited run MPS merch or swag such as stickers, to be distributed freely at future events!)
Please note that entries to this contest are a labor of love and gift to our community – as MPS is a small (unincorporated) volunteer community group; we cannot offer compensation or royalties for our continued usage of your design. We will be publicly crediting artists in other ways. There will be some gratitude prizes and love offerings at the official unveiling party for the winning artist and the runners-up.
