Morning miles at Elver [**Travel Thursday**]

While MTR normally meets at the Arb on Thursday mornings, one Thursday per month (usually the last or second-to-last) is a traveling location. For the last Thursday of June, we will meet at a vert-fan favorite, Elver Park, on the west side of Madison.

We will meet in the main parking lot off McKenna Blvd, closest to the steepest sledding hill. In late June, we will probably have decent running conditions, potentially with warmer weather, so prepare your gear and footwear accordingly. The sunrise will be at 5:19 am, so there is no need for a headlamp.

We will run for about 60 minutes total, with the pace around 9:30-10:30 min/mile. If there is enough interest, we will split into pace groups with at least one group going at a pace >10-11min/mile. Otherwise, we will default to the pace listed above. To offer a more inclusive experience, we'll leave out the notorious sledding hill repeats from the main hour. If you still want to get the hill repeats in, feel free to join Emma for some early miles starting around 5:30am.

The planned route will go all around the park, circumnavigating the various trails that are outfitted for skiing in the cooler months. You are welcome to head back to the parking lot earlier at whichever point of the run you wish if you're looking for a shorter outing on the trails.
