ABOUT
Talk description:
"Depending on where you live, money can be a prickly topic in the workplace; however, survey after survey shows it’s also a conversation that many employees actively want started. Laws on disclosure requirements vary greatly from country to country (and even region to region!), but the data strongly suggests that salary transparency increases trust and job satisfaction, and also positively impacts gender and racial compensation equity.
Our company instituted several salary transparency initiatives three years ago at the suggestion of an employee, and while we hit a few hiccups along the way, the benefits are clear. In this talk, we’ll discuss why salary transparency matters, different ways it can manifest, and how to pitch it to the rest of your company."
