The Madrid Expats are made up of social butterflies, urban explorers, Hikers, Nature and Mountain Lover, music, outdoor enthusiasts, thrill seekers, creatives, foodies. We go for hiking every weekend only to the Mountains of Madrid and sometime we arrange picnics at local park in madrid, Where you can meet with locals and international people from round the world. The town of Bustarviejo is located in the Sierra Norte of the Community of Madrid. Bustarviejo sits on the slopes of the Sierra de Guadarrama, on its southern slope. Next to the mountains, and with a leafy valley, it is about 60 km from Madrid. The Town is one of the charming town near Madrid, perfect for the hiking routes while enjoying nature.
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Information and Technical Sheet of the Hike:
We do this Hiking Trail only twice in a Year. We will start the route from the Bustarviejo, passing through the Silver mine Tower ( Build in 1660) . Circular route. Total Distance 10km. HARD difficulty. Positive slope 589 m. Negative slope 589 m. Maximum altitude 1,770 m. Minimum altitude 1,262 m. Find Fotos of this Trail in Description.★ ★ ★ ★ ★ How to get there?:
By Bus: we are going by bus. meet us at intercambiador de plaza castilla ( underground bus station of plaza de Castilla) at 09:05 h. For departure at 09:20 h. Bus to Bustarviejo, Level or (Planta) -3. Bus Number 725 Dock 26. One way cost 5,10€ and you pay to the bus driver. The bus does not accept card payment. You have to bring change of € 5 or € 10.

Food and snacks. Water 1.5L: please bring enough water or drinks for yourself. warm Jacket or something warm for when you feel chilly.
Sun Protection Cream, Summer Cap, Hiking or sporty dress, Sun Glasses and happy Mood. Do not Forget your Camera. Be ready for 360 Views.Important: There will be no restaurant or shop to buy food or drinks. come prepared from home Please.

4. All our events are accessible by Madrid Public Transport. We do not offer any type of Travel or Accident insurance.

Lovely hiking Trail in Navacerrada with the best views of the valley. We’re going to steadily hike up from Puerto de Navacerrada ( ski station) to navacerrada town. we will be passing by Mirador de las Canchas, Valle de la Barranca. We’re going to follow one of the best sections of trail in Madrid, up to lunch at the jaw dropping views at the Mirador de las Canchas.★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Information and Technical Sheet of the Hike:
This medium difficulty hike is 14km long with 400m of elevation change. We’ll take 6 around hours to walk it. one way Route. The path is a mix of single track and wider trails. There are few steep and slippery sections. We‘ll begin the hike from Puerto de navacerrada and walk into the Valle de la Barranca by Senda Ortiz, one of the best trails in Madrid. we will be coming back to Madrid arround 16:45 or 17:45 from navacerrada Town.

We are meeting at underground Moncola Bus Station. find us at Isla 2, Dársena 21, BUS 691 at 08:30AM for the 08:45AM departure.Please bring change or a 5€ or 10€ bill for the bus driver. 10.20€ round trip on the bus. The bus is free if you have the abono joven and reduced if you have an abono for outside the center!
BY CAR: Sorry no Private cars this time because the start point and the end point of the hike are NOT the same.
