🌲 Una de las rutas más bonitas de senderismo cerca de Madrid.
San Rafael es conocido por sus montañas siempre verdes cubiertas de pinos, con numerosos senderos y pequeños ríos. El punto más destacado de esta excursión es el Refugio de Cueva Valiente, un refugio muy bien restaurado a 1.915 m de altitud, con impresionantes vistas y restos históricos de la Guerra Civil.
📌 Nota: Iremos y volveremos a Madrid en el mismo día. Tendremos tiempo para hacer picnic en plena naturaleza, así que esta vez trae suficiente comida. Caminaremos a un ritmo normal, con pausas para fotos . Al finalizar la ruta, iremos a un bar local para tomar algo.

Hike / Event full information 👇
One of the Beautiful Hiking Trail outside Madrid. San Rafael is famous for all time green mountains ( covered by pine tress) with many hiking trails and small Rivers. The most interesting part is Refugio de cueva valiente. A very well restored refuge with incredible views with Altitude 1.915m from the sea level and There are many remains of the civil war.
Note: We will be going and coming back to Madrid on the same day. we will try to enjoy the maximum of this lovely hiking trail. This time come with enough food because we will have enough time to do picnic in the middle of nature. we will go with normal pace, taking breaks for photos and snacks. At the end of hike we will go to a Local bar for Drinks.

We will meet at underground cercanías train station at Nuevos Ministerios. Platform Number 1 at 9:45am. the trian is leaving at 10:08 am. Please buy your ticket online from Renfe website. Link: https://www.renfe.com/es/en/experiences . our Departure station will be Nuevos miniterios, and distination station will be San Rafael.

Both ways (Roud Trip) ticket cost is 14.80€.

People with Abono joven or Zone C2 Card Holders : You need to buy Ticket from Cerdedilla to San Rafael. Roud trip cost will be 4€.

Our Train (Renfe) line is C8 and this train will pass by, Chamartin, Ramon y Cajal, Pitis, Villaalba and cercedilla Station. so you can join us from your nearest cercanias Station. if you will joining us from different stations please check and confirm the train arrival timing by own. if someone miss the train, it will be not our responsibility and we will not wait.

BY CAR: You can come by Car. meet us at San Rafael Cercanias Station at 11:30am. Google maps: bit.ly/40Drg9R This station has own large Parking Area. if you want to share your car and fuel charges, please mention your whatsapp number, pickup point and departure time in the chat of this event.

We will start the hike after the breakfast or just a coffee at the town of San Rafael. It is necessary to bring hiking shoes, Comfy clothes, summer cap, Sun Glasses, Sun protection Cream. Your lunch, Snacks and 1.5L water (minimum).
in case of rain please come with rain Jacket.

The Charges are only 10€. Cash in hand at the end of hike. The Price (10€) includes only Hike guide, everyone must pay by own public transport charges, which are mention above. if you want insurance, It is possible to arrange a personalized accident insurance for only 5€ providing name, surname and ID/Passport Number.
