MAG-NETIC! Dallas’s MOST Inclusive Magazine Reading & Conversation Group

A friendly group for people who enjoy reading magazine, thoughtful conversation, and exploring ideas together.

Each week, we’ll choose selections from publications such as The New York Review of Books, The Atlantic, The Week, and occasionally other magazines, along with select books and essays nominated by our group. Members read the material on their own (if not then don’t sweat we still value your perspective!) and then come together to share passages, read excerpts aloud, exchange perspectives, and discuss the ideas, stories, and issues that caught our attention.

The goal is not to be an academic book club or a debate society. It’s an opportunity to practice and improve our conversational skills—speaking clearly, listening thoughtfully, asking good questions, and learning how to keep an interesting conversation going.

The reading is simply our starting point. From there, we’ll let the conversation wander into culture, books, current events, history, art, society, and whatever else the material inspires.
