About us
We play riichi mahjong, the Japanese four-player game, under World Riichi Championship rules. Points, not money: no gambling, ever. We're just here for the game.
Beginners are welcome at most events, just check each session's description. Message us before your first one and we'll set you up at the teaching table: we'll take you from counting to nine all the way to your first full game, and beyond that your skill is the only limit. If you play Mahjong Soul and want to try real tiles, come along. Players from other traditions (Hong Kong, Taiwanese, MCR) can jump straight in, you know the tiles already and we'll bridge the rules at the table.

Coaching is available at every level, so whether you're learning your first yaku or refining tournament play for the world championships, there's someone to learn from. Nobody has ever represented the Gulf at the World Riichi Championship. We intend to fix that.
We meet weekly, alternating open nights and focused sessions, sometimes on automatic tables (yes, in Dubai). Only costs are the venue's cover charge or minimum spend, depending on the night. No fees from us, ever.
