MOAC, founded in 1989, is an all-volunteer member organization. Members organize and lead all trips and activities from beginner to expert. Our outdoor activities range from peaceful and relaxing to challenging and full of excitement. From the extremes of winter camping, ice/rock climbing, strenuous hiking, mountain biking, whitewater kayaking, to the gentle sail, walk or snowshoe, MOAC has something to offer everyone. We are a diverse group with members of all ages and experience.

Join MOAC to challenge yourself, share your outdoor skills and meet other outdoor adventurers!! Individual Memberships are $20 Annually, Family Memberships are $30 and includes a "Significant Other" and children living at home. MOAC Trail Maintenance Day

Join the MOAC trail crew for a day of volunteer trail maintenance on MOAC\'s adopted trails - The Bald Peak, and Sue\'s Way Trails on Pleasant Mountain in Bridgton. We will continue the work we started on National Trails Day with improving the stone causeway just before the junction of Sue\'s Way Trail. We will also head up Sue\'s Way to clip back brush, rake leaves, remove any blowdowns, and clean & rebuild waterbars. We\'ll also take time to enjoy the view from the top. MOAC provides all the trail tools. You\'ll want to bring sturdy footwear, work gloves and clothes, a day pack with plenty of water and your lunch, elbow grease and a sense of humor! We meet at the Bald Peak trailhead on Mountain Road at 9am. If coming from Portland and want to carpool, meet at the Park and Ride on Marginal Way at 8am. We usually end the day between 3 & 4 pm. Afterwards we sometimes go for a swim in Moose Pond, or find a pub for food and refreshment.... Or maybe Both! Join us for a few hours, or for the whole day. If you want to sign up or have any questions, just give me a call or send me an email. The more the merrier!
