Join us for a beautiful summer adventure exploring one of Essex’s most scenic coastal routes — from the Thames Estuary and peaceful marshlands to the dramatic ruins of Hadleigh Castle, finishing beside the beach at charming Leigh-on-Sea.

This walk has all the perfect ingredients for a wonderful day out… estuary views, rolling hills, history, seaside charm, and great company.

🏰 Hadleigh Castle:
Built around 1215 by Hubert de Burgh and later extensively fortified by Edward III during the Hundred Years’ War, Hadleigh Castle became a favourite royal residence. Today, its romantic ruins and striking towers overlook the Essex marshes, offering breathtaking views and a fascinating glimpse into England’s past.
