Details

Come join Dayton Ohio Ride of Silence: Join cyclists worldwide in a silent slow-paced ride (max. 12 mph/20kph) in honor of those who have been injured or killed while cycling on public roadways.

On May 19, 2021 at 7:00 PM, the Ride of Silence will traverse and unite the globe as nothing before it. Cyclists will take to the roads in a silent procession to honor cyclists who have been killed or injured while cycling on public roadways. Although cyclists have a legal right to share the road with motorists, the motoring public often isn't aware of these rights, and sometimes not aware of the cyclists themselves.

Park at Carillon Park and ride up the bike path (toward Stewart) to the Bike Cyclist statue. If leaving Carillon Park parking lot cross the street onto the bike path and take a right. Please do not block the bike path while waiting for the starting line up. Close to 7 pm we will line up on Carillon.

If possible wear white and have front lights and flashing red light. This event if open to all riders of all levels. Pace will not exceed 12 mph. The route is approximately 8 miles long. This route is on the road and the group will obey all traffic laws and ride together.

Arrive 15-30 minutes early to prep you bike and to line up for prompt 7 pm departure.
