MEMBERS ONLY: CNC Router Class: Make a Spooky Lantern!

Make a fun halloween decoration and learn to use the CNC Router in this class taught by Matt Brown!

Students will create designs for lanterns using Carbide Create and then use the CNC Router to cut them out. We will then finish the lanterns using the miter saw and air nailer!

This class will count as CNC training in the wood shop!

Students need to bring a laptop with Carbide Create installed. You can get the free software here.

Please note that MAKE Roanoke is an active workshop:

• All participants must have a signed waiver on file. If the participant is a minor, the wavier must be signed by a parent or court-appointed legal guardian. Waivers can be filled out ahead of time at https://mkroa.org/waiver
• Closed toed shoes are required in the space at all times by everyone, regardless of age or participation in an event. No sandals, crocs, or bare feet.
• You may be asked to remove or tuck in dangling jewelry, lanyards, etc for safety.
• Depending on the activity, other dress code rules may apply.
