Maker Mini: Joining Wood with Jigs: Pocket Holes and Dowels

MAKE Roanoke is pleased to offer another session in our series of FREE short classes we're calling Maker Minis! This one is about joinery jigs for wood working!
This Maker Mini, taught by Matt Brown, will demonstrate two methods
joining wood with the pocket hole jig and the dowel jig. We will talk about the advantages and disadvantages of each method and then you’ll get to try your hand at each.
This class is suitable for beginners, and is recommended for ages 14 and up. All minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Seating is limited, so please RSVP to save your seat!
Please note that MAKE Roanoke is an active workshop:
- All participants must have a signed waiver on file. If the participant is a minor, the waiver must be signed by a parent or court-appointed legal guardian. Waivers can be filled out ahead of time here.
- Children who are not participating in the event are not permitted in the space.
- Closed toed shoes are required in the space at all times by everyone, regardless of age or participation in an event. No sandals, crocs, or bare feet.
- You may be asked to remove or tuck in dangling jewelry, lanyards, etc for safety.
- Depending on the activity, other dress code rules may apply.
