Make a Cutting Board: A 2-Day Class

Join us at MAKE Roanoke to craft your own cutting board while learning how to use several tools in our wood shop! This class spans two days, and students must attend both days.
- Day 1: Saturday, June 18 from 10 AM-2 PM
- Day 2: Sunday June 19 from 10 AM-2 PM
This class, taught by Matt Brown and Michelle Donohoe, will teach students how to utilize the jointer, planer, table saw, miter saw, router, and drum sander to make their own one of a kind cutting board.
This class is recommended for ages 16 and up. Attendees under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Space is limited, so sign up now! This class is open to the public, you do not need to be a MAKE Roanoke Member to attend.
All materials, taxes, and fees are covered in the class price of $65. The discounted rate for MAKE Roanoke Members is $55. Payment is taken at the door. We accept card (including tap-to-pay), cash, and PayPal.
Please note that MAKE Roanoke is an active workshop:
- All participants must have a signed waiver on file. If the participant is a minor, the wavier must be signed by a parent or court-appointed legal guardian. Waivers can be filled out ahead of time at https://mkroa.org/waiver
- Children who are not participating in the event are not permitted in the space
- Closed toed shoes are required in the space at all times by everyone, regardless of age or participation in an event. No sandals, crocs, or bare feet.
- You may be asked to remove or tuck in dangling jewelry, lanyards, etc for safety.
- Depending on the activity, other dress code rules may apply.
