Maker Mini: Antenna Basics

Antennae are all around: in every cellphone, every wifi device, every car. Have you ever been curious to know how they work? In this free one-hour class, we'll demystify the antenna:

• Learn what an antenna is
• Different types
• How you can build a basic one
• Tools and techniques to test your antenna

This class is FREE and open to the public! You do NOT need to be a MAKE Roanoke Member to attend. It is suitable for beginners and recommended for ages 14+.

• Please note that MAKE Roanoke is an active workshop:
• All participants must have a signed waiver on file. If the participant is a minor, the waiver must be signed by a parent or court-appointed legal guardian. Waivers can be filled out ahead of time at https://mkroa.org/waiver
• Children who are not participating in the event are not permitted in the space.
• Closed toed shoes are required in the space at all times by everyone, regardless of age or participation in an event. No sandals, crocs, or bare feet.
• You may be asked to remove or tuck in dangling jewelry, lanyards, etc for safety.
• Depending on the activity, other dress code rules may apply.
