# Make It Happen People — Inland Empire

Meet people. Get out. Make things happen.
Make It Happen People is a social community for adults who want to meet new people, get out of the house, try new experiences, and actually do more of the things they keep saying they want to do.
Some events are about having fun and exploring.
Others are about sitting down together and finally getting something done.
The common thread is simple:
Show up, connect with people, and make something happen.

## What We Do

Expect a mix of social, recreational, and accountability-focused events throughout the Inland Empire.
Events may include:

• Social outings and local adventures
• Restaurants, food halls, cafés, and breweries
• Bowling, games, escape rooms, and activity nights
• Hiking and outdoor activities
• Festivals and local events
• Trying new experiences as a group
• Coworking sessions
• Accountability meetups
• Writing and creative work sessions
• Goal-setting and planning sessions
• Workshops and community events
• Events with local businesses and venues

You might come one week to meet people over dinner and the next week bring your laptop and work alongside some of those same people.

## Meet People Without the Pressure

Making new friends as an adult can be difficult.
Sometimes you want to go somewhere or try something, but you do not necessarily have someone to go with.
That is one of the main reasons this group exists.
You do not need to already know anyone.
Come to an event, meet a few people, have a conversation, try something new, and see where it goes.
The goal is to create a community where familiar faces start showing up again and again instead of every Meetup feeling like starting from zero.

## Make It Happen Sessions

Alongside our social events, we will host recurring Make It Happen Sessions.
These are coworking and accountability meetups where everyone brings something they want to make progress on.
You might be:

• Applying for jobs
• Studying
• Writing
• Working remotely
• Building a business
• Planning a project
• Handling paperwork
• Organizing your life
• Working on a creative project
• Catching up on something you have been avoiding

Everyone can work on something different.
You simply show up, say what you want to accomplish, work alongside other people, and check back in before leaving.
It is productivity with a social element.

## Adventures Count Too

Not everything has to be productive.
Sometimes making it happen means finally checking out that restaurant.
Going hiking.
Trying an escape room.
Going to a festival.
Learning something new.
Taking a day trip.
Or saying yes to an experience you probably would not have done alone.
Those experiences are just as much a part of this community as coworking and accountability.

## Who This Group Is For

This group may be a good fit if you want to:

• Meet new people in the Inland Empire
• Build a stronger social circle
• Get out more often
• Try new activities
• Explore places around Southern California
• Find people to work alongside
• Have some accountability for personal goals
• Break out of the work-home-repeat routine
• Have more things on your calendar that you actually look forward to

You do not have to be extremely outgoing.
You do not have to be perfectly productive.
You just have to be willing to show up.

We also want to connect with local cafés, restaurants, food halls, breweries, bookstores, coworking spaces, activity venues, and other Inland Empire businesses.
That can create opportunities for group experiences, special events, discounts, workshops, and new places for our community to gather.

Make It Happen People is about having other people around who make it a little easier to actually do those things.
Come meet some people.
Come try something.
Come work on something.
